My pre-med advisor still hasn't sent my letter, so I will be incomplete for a little while longer 🙁
Still waiting...sigh

it doesnt get much better when it's complete. plenty of us are waiting with vague messages about what's going on with our applications for weeks =/

I am also well above average on all aspects and I have this status: "Your M.D. file is now complete. The Admissions Committee will now do a comprehensive review of your application." So I haven't even been forwarded yet. But, at this point, we are all getting a fair chance so there is no reason to stress. 🙂

i dont get it. whats the difference between that and my file being forwarded? apparently i wont be getting a comprehensive review? idk.

I don't know what the difference is tbh. I think your status comes after mine.

yea it does, you get comprehensive reviews. mine's just forwarded to the admissions committee. did you have my status before yours changed?

Mine went from the "forwarded to adcom for review" back to the earlier complete one. lol.

I don't think that's what it means at all. I'm not sure why there are different variations but I'm certain that all apps are reviewed in the same holistic, comprehensive way. They aren't going to put some apps into a pile that receives lesser attention.

I wonder how this secondary will help them decide who to invite for interview. I'm pretty sure everyone has a good answer to the question. anyone know how many secondaries they give out?

I brought up the potential need to involve a social worker if the parents' response to the situation was likely to involve physical violence/kicking her out of the house. I didn't think of running a dating violence screening on the patient, though. That's a really good point, and probably a more common occurrence.

for the course information section, are you guys labeling ALL your science classes as pre-rec courses? or just the core ~12 classes?

my concern for this part is that they want to scan over the important grades. however, my grades for the core science courses are all average, whereas some of my grades from upperdiv science courses are much better.

Same here, but I only labeled the core classes, nothing else. I'm gonna look pretty average if that's all they're looking at lol

Is anyone having trouble with the correct year of their courses? Did they automatically make Freshman year all one year? For example, I have 2010 for both semesters of freshman year, while technically it should be 2010 for the fall and 2011 for the spring.

I called, but they kind of do what they do, it kind of sucked cause it makes me just look consistent rather than having an upward trend. I liked the way Aacomas broke it down better. When you went by school you could see the obvious difference. I agree with not worrying about it.

Ahah I wish that were true..... Thanks for your kind words though. I'm honestly surprised that I've gotten IIs; I actually don't believe my stats are that impressive, having seen other people's stats. They probably just reviewed mine earlier and you all will get your's soon.

We were both nervous about the MAY status too! Congrats! Hopefully our experience can give others a better gauge on the cryptic statuses now.
