When does the complete e-mail arrive? I submitted two weeks ago and haven't received one yet.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to answer. 🙂 Wake feels like a really really really long-shot to me right now.

Your application will be reviewed throughout the year and if granted an interview, we will send you an invitation by email. Interview is by invitation from September through March. If you have not heard by April, you will receive notification of your status at that time.


I submitted 8/1 and got this email 8/11
 
Thanks! And can I just say how silly I find it when schools say, "if you have not heard by ______, you will receive notification of your status at that time." They should just say "rejection" instead of "status." What else could it mean if they are done issuing invitations?

That's true, getting some under your belt is a huge relief. But keep in mind that there are still plenty of people who don't even have their applications verified yet! Hell, I'm still waiting to receive Drexel's secondary, and they don't even screen lol
 
Haha yeah - I'm still waiting for a few secondaries too. I've applied to 19 schools and I've only been rejected by one and put on hold by another. Just 17 more maybes.....
 
Does wake forest send out II's in batches or is it just a constant stream?

Was that when you received the email from them?

"Dear Applicant:


All materials needed for your application have been received and your file is now complete."
That took about two-three weeks for me after I thought I was complete.

Well then, I guess I have to be patient since I only received that email on 8/11.
Looking at last year's thread it seems like 3-5 weeks post completion email is common.
 
I completed secondary ten days ago, but that is only b/c it took me a month to receive it. Looks like I should fasten my seat belt and just wait it out.

They are scheduling for early September!
 
Question about status: Does it say app complete when you're complete? Mine says that the secondary is submitted and that they upload letters in batches...so that means they still haven't uploaded my letter yet?? I guess that is why I haven't received a complete email.
 
I submitted my secondary on 8/4 and still haven't received a complete email. I can't access the site to check my status either 🙁 I guess i'll try to check again tomorrow.

I was verified 7/24, added Wake 7/29 and just got an email today saying they received my primary and it'll take 1-2 weeks for me to receive a secondary

It looks like they do them in big batches. I added Wake on 8/08 and got the same email today.
 
so i originally had:
"Your primary application from AMCAS has been received. It is being evaluated and you will be sent an e-mail notification of your status within 1-2 weeks."
when i got the email from wake mid last week

now it is:
"Your AMCAS application is under review. When the review is complete, you will be sent an e-mail notification of your status."

what's the difference?
did anyone have this/how long did it take for the portal to change to say that you will receive a secondary? i feel like I'm going crazy
 
Does anyone know the chance of getting a student host? I applied, but the email stated that it is not guaranteed.
 
Has anyone who submitted 8/5 or later received a "complete" email?

Not sure, but I signed up the day I got the II confirmation email with the link to the additional information page. I was contacted a day later about being matched with a student host.

what is means is that it is still early, you are still in screening, and don't have an interview... everyone lets all focus on our breathing and relax lol

Our student hosting program is based on the availability of students, which is obviously in flux throughout the year. If you happen to choose an interview date that is right before an upcoming test for the second years, then understandably you will be less likely to get a second year host. Wake only interviews 6 applicants each day, so it is unlikely that you'll interview at a time when we simply don't have enough hosts to accommodate, but since participation in the program is entirely voluntary, we don't want to guarantee something if we're not absolutely sure we can deliver.
