I think every time I've seen an abbreviation in something they sent me, they used CUSOM.just to double check, if using an abbreviation for the name in the secondary...would it be CUSM? Or do they not really use that?

I would keep it standard and use CUSOM (although I don't think I have ever an abbreviation). I personally just spelled it out.
CUSOM, I believejust to double check, if using an abbreviation for the name in the secondary...would it be CUSM? Or do they not really use that?
CUSOM is also an abbreviation commonly used for Campbell University, a D.O. School. I would write it out.Yeah I'm just going to spell it out, this character limit is killing me for some reason, been trying to work it down little by little all day haha
Thanks for the input!

If Creighton writes this on their secondary, I don't think I'd classify it as "Doing it wrong"...Just because they do it wrong doesn't mean you have to though

Then by all means, do likewise. Your essay should reflect your level of writing proficiency anyway. For everyone else, it is typically considered poor taste to use abbreviations in formal writing, even if the people in Creighton's admissions department do it.If Creighton writes this on their secondary, I don't think I'd classify it as "Doing it wrong"...
Yeah, there are probably multiple universities that use this abbreviation. That is common across universities. For example, I know of multiple schools that refer to themselves as ISU.I thought it might be that, but when I google it, Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine comes up though

Haha. They got me too! Cruel. So cruel.Went on to portal and saw that I was invited to an event. My heart raced, but alas, twas only an open house![]()
I would answer the question to the best of your abilities even though it may seem like you've done it half a dozen times already.Wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the 3rd question: "Please describe your current activities/employment if you are not currently enrolled as a fulltime student."
I just started a post bacc program in July but I was out of school for about 3 years before that. I mentioned this in my primary app and I talk a little bit about it in my other secondary responses. Should I state again what I had been doing during my time out of school? Or just leave the response blank/say that I am a full time student?
Thanks for any help!
Waiting for IIs like

I'm turning into impatient bear...anyone else going bonkers with this wait between II rounds?
Quick question if anyone is willing to help. Received a secondary about 7 weeks ago. I immediately realized that physio was a required course, and I never took a physio as an undergrad. I sent an email to admissions petitioning that my Biochem II class could count in place of physio. After a couple weeks of silence I decided to just forgo completing the secondary because I sent in 24 others and I have decent stats (LizzyM 72-73).
Well fast forward to today where I get an e-mail saying my request was approved, and the class I took is able to fulfill the physio requirement. Submitted most of my secondaries in mid August and I've heard nothing but silence from all the schools I applied to. Is it too late to submit this secondary, 7 weeks later? Not worth the cost? Not really sure what to do, especially because finances are a pretty big concern of mine right now. Thanks for any suggestions ahead of time!
As it seems they are batching IIs on a month-to-month basis, I believe that your app could be evaluated and invited for II as early as the October batch. I was complete early August, just missed the "deadline" for the first batch, and have been waiting since.
If this is true, should we assume that people who were complete in July and haven't heard anything have been silently rejected? Or silently placed on hold?
There were 29 days which passed before the first wave and second wave in the 2014-2015 thread. The most recent II given this year was 8/21.. so it appears, by that measure, we are overdue.Anyone know when the next wave is coming? Possibly tomorrow?
It is, of course, speculation.

All quiet on the western front. Anybody else sweating bullets? Complete 8/25.

I could kiss you. Thank you for this.just throwing this out there for all the worriers (aka me last year):
my app was complete early august and I didn't get my II until february!
the wait sucked (thanks creighton 😉) but in the end obviously it was worth it, so try to be patient!
there are actually quite a few people in my class who didnt interview until january / february / even march, soooooo know that a late II doesnt mean waitlist or reject by any means!
So when they say it will be 8 weeks before a decision, are they just giving themselves more than enough time? I'm hoping for more like 3-4 weeks.... 🙂
Good to know. Thanks! Did they stick to just snail mail for an acceptance or rejection? Or did they show it in the portal?I know that 2 years ago they came out with decisions faster than predicted early in the interview season (like 4-6 weeks in October), but way slower for the interviews that came in December around the holidays. I interviewed around that time, and I waited a solid 10 weeks.

Yeah! It's been two months since any IIs have been sent out 🙁I wonder why they're taking so long this year. I'm surprised there wasn't any news on 9/30 as Mr. Garland Jarmon told me there should be something out by the end of the month... Guess we'll just have to keep on waiting T_T
