but what the heck is it? what is "done" in these things?
Accepted!!
Interviewed on 9/30
And for those of you that might be interested, now I have an "Accepted" option on TempleMedOnline
I can't even believe it...![]()
Be surprised. we shouldn't be telling youbut what the heck is it? what is "done" in these things?
seriously? didn't know it was confidential... jeesh.

Not really, I even emailed them saying that its been 3 weeks and I haven't received the letter (I was worried that they had some kind of problem since my preferred address is overseas). They immediately responded that the letter was sent the same day I was told that I was accepted. In addition, they sent me the electronic copy of what is in the packet, which I already had since they send it to you the day after you have been accepted.Did you get anything in the mail yet from Temple?
Hopefully next week. They said something like 4-6 weeks on interview day, right?Anyone have an idea when those of us who interviewed early should hear back?

Is anyone planning on calling to see when we can expect decisions? Especially since it's been 6 weeks for the 9/29 people
Does anyone know that if you put St. Luke's as your #1 choice if they don't select you do you get put into the regular Temple admissions pile?
Or is it a one shot deal?
Pretty sure it's a one-shot deal since you have to be dual admitted at Temple main anyways
Okay just wanted to make sure the 2 committees weren't completely isolated. So you can be accepted to temple main but then possibly rejected from St. Luke's?
This is how I understood it: If you interview at St. Luke's, what will happen is that at the end of each month, the St. Luke's committee will meet with the Temple Main admissions committee. People that St. Luke's recommends to be accepted into their program are "presented" at this meeting, so that St. Luke's and Temple Main can have a discussion on whether or not they both agree. This means that if (for some reason) Temple Main vehemently disagrees about a candidate, that person will not get accepted at either Temple or St. Luke's (since St. Luke's is a regional campus of Temple University School of Medicine). They would likely be put in a waitlist position at St. Luke's or potentially rejected outright.
That being said, I could be wrong and perhaps someone with better insight into the process could share their ideas. To answer your question, I don't think that somebody who interviewed at St. Luke's would end up being accepted at Temple Main because each program has fairly similar post-interview acceptance rates.
I am tempted to call, 6 weeks for me today. Though realistically I don't know what they'd say besides "soon"Is anyone planning on calling to see when we can expect decisions? Especially since it's been 6 weeks for the 9/29 people
They said they were planning to send out decisions in batches so they could have a date in mindI am tempted to call, 6 weeks for me today. Though realistically I don't know what they'd say besides "soon"
Anyone know if there's a particular day of the week they send out decisions?
Sorry about that man! Are you in state? Also, I found on the Temple website: "Some candidates may be placed on the continuing candidate list after interview. An applicant’s placement on the continuing candidate list is confidential and will not be shared with the applicant." Anyone have any thoughts about why I was informed? Has anyone else been told they have been placed on the continuing candidates list?
So I interviewed here on 10/27 and got a letter today (but dated 11/2) that I have been placed on the continuing candidates list. Did anyone else get this? I was surprised because of how fast it was, and I was also expecting to hear via email. However, my portal still says my application is under review and no decision has been made.
What that statement means is that they tell you that you are on the waitlist but they won't tell you what number you are. Also, I found on the Temple website: "Some candidates may be placed on the continuing candidate list after interview. Hmm I was also placed on the CCL list, but I interviewed at St. Luke's. I was under the impression that St. Luke's sends out acceptances and stuff separately from the Main campus (though main campus must approve all decisions St. Luke's makes)
The letter is also dated 11/2. Anyone get accepted to St. Luke's? It seems they sent out the wait list before acceptances.
is this true?Anyone have any good tips for the interview? I'm really anxious cause I'm more into patient care than research and temple seems to be focusing on research more......

Did you just receive the letter today? Maybe it will take some time to reach applicants depending if they are in-state or out-of-state. I have not heard back yet. I'm sorry to hear about that; I hope there is a lot of waitlist movement this year!
I got the impression that they are much more focused on primary care and that they are very student centeredis this true?
Do you know when they start taking people of the CCL?I was also put on the continuing candidate list today 🙁
Definitely hurts, as I truly love everything about Temple. But last year had a good amount of CCL movement so I will hope the same for this year. At least it's not over yet 🙂
For those wondering, I interviewed early October, main campus.
Do you know when they start taking people of the CCL?
When did you interview? I live pretty far away so I'm guessing I would get something this weekI haven't yet, and I definitely live close enough to Philly to have gotten the letter by now if others did.
Can't decide whether no communication is a good thing or a bad thing at this point.
September 30th. I usually get stuff from Philly within a dayWhen did you interview? I live pretty far away so I'm guessing I would get something this week
