Hi guys. Just called the admissions office and got a hell of a lot of information.

1) No admissions decisions have been made or released at this time.
2) At this time, the admissions committee is meeting to make decisions about acceptances only, not waitlists or rejections.
3) The online portal will update saying "Admission decision mailed" or something of that nature the day that a decision is put in the mail.
4) These acceptances will likely be mailed on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

So, if your portal updates early next week stating "Admission decision mailed," it can only mean good news.

Hope this is some good information for all of you. Let me know if you have any questions.

The admissions office isn't obligated to tell us the truth. For all we know they could have mailed the letters already to surprise applicants.

I agree. Now this is just the lady's word that I spoke to over the phone, so you never know. But that is what I was told.

Maybe because they had planned for January 15th and with it being so delayed they just want us to know.

From last year's thread, it looked like the early decisions included people in November, though I don't remember about December. Though since decisions seem to be coming out later than last year, this could change...

My gut tells me chances are slim, since they have probably already prioritized sending II to candidates they value most earlier on.

If you are a goes enough applicant you will be fine... dont listen to sir/madam pessimism up there!
The next date they send out acceptances is march 30th... I figure as long as you interview before then you will DEFINITELY be good.. & anytime after doesn't 100% eliminate you either.. if they love you.. they love you.. that's all..

The student I stayed with during my Geffen interview wasn't accepted until May, and the Geffen student I stayed with during my Drew interview also wasn't accepted until May, so we might be in for a long wait! I interviewed for Geffen in September and for Drew in November, but I don't expect to hear any news until May. That way, I won't be disappointed if I get rejected/waitlisted.

I know someone who got accepted during 1st week of Aug. UCLA being her dream school she had to take some losses from deposit she made for an apt in another State.......

I only visit this forum occasionally.. And it's just sad to see how much you guys are stressing this stuff.. It's already over. You took the MCAT & submitted your apps already.. It's all out of your control.. The only thing you can do now is think positively and perhaps pray. All this anxiety... UNNECESSARY. You guys should be enjoying your lives right now.. Not looking at past acceptance dates and creating graphs about what day acceptances are released Etc etc.. Just relax lol! That's all I'm saying. You guys wanna know what I'm doing? Im really just Tryna spend time with family & make it count.. Because I know I might be moving away.. So all my time is enjoying my familial relationships. And really observing my parents you know.. What makes them smile.. Enjoying hearing their laughter...spending time with my grandparents because who knows what will happen in the next 4 years while I'm away at school... Yall worried about the wrong things!

Hi everyone, there is a lot of tension in this board right now. Patience is a virtue and for some of you, the wait and anxiety will be well worth it. I am an MS2 at DGSOM and you couldn't pay me to go back to the time you guys are in now. The waiting game was just awful. But oh my... When I got that letter on February 15, I broke down into tears and it was all worth it. So try to take any negative anxiety and flip it around to excitement.

Yes; If there's any chance you will get in and attend, you should add a school to your FAFSA if you want to be considered for aid.

@theboatman called last week and they told him that the online portal will update once your acceptance letter has been sent in the mail. So same day, I think.

Send the admissions office an email. If your scheduled interview date is close-by, I would go ahead and call them.

You most likely need to call Admissions directly. I don't remember if there was an online option to withdraw when given II.

that's what I pretty much got as info when I e-mailed this past Thursday in which they said that decisions will come out sometime next week (meaning this week). So vague !
