Anyone know when the last interview would be? I'm guessing this week would be the last II probably?

According to their website they interview throughout February. So they could technically already be done.

they have 5 interview dates after the new year. Or at least in December they said they have 5 more. If I am not mistaken, there are 2 or 3 left. If there is an interview date this Saturday, there are 3 total left. If there is no interview this Saturday, there are 2 total left. There are 2 interview dates in March. One early, one mid-late march. Keep up your hope, you might get an II in the next couple weeks!

There was no interview this weekend but there are two more interviews coming up.

Anyone get a March II? Think I saw one up there but I feel like there should be more...just curious/anxious.

Hello! I just got word from admissions that all interview slots are filled for this application cycle and that they would send out final notifications next week (meaning something still might change)?

Just wanted to pass on the information I just received.

But no matter the place you still will become a physician in the end 🙂 congrats on your acceptance to Oakland! I have a friend that goes there and they enjoy the school.

Ouch. I was hoping I'd have a shot here 🙁

@leonardodicaprio1992 @takeonme and anyone else that feels bad about not getting an II.

It does stink, I completely feel your pain. but if it is any consolation, at the very least you have closure somewhat earlier. Although you didn't get any official emails yet, I can comfortably say that I wish I would get some sort of notification of getting let off the hook early on. Its difficult to live with hope for too long a time, and although I sympathize that you didn't get an II, I can also reassure you that the other side is also very painful.
seriously i've been waiting since september post interview

I interviewed yesterday, and would just like to chime in and say that we were directly told by the dean of admissions that we were the last interview day of the season. No more II's will be granted this year. Sorry to those of you who were waiting hopefully, but if I were in your position I figured I'd like some closure on the issue.

Did they give any indication of when interviewed candidates would hear?

We were told that our applications would go through a final review on March 15th, and that acceptances would "trickle out" starting a week from that date.

Additionally, we were told that everyone who shows up to the interview is automatically added to their waitlist, implying that they don't actually reject anyone post-interview. They also said that there was no need to send a LOI - that showing up to the interview in and of itself was a LOI.

I was going to put a meme saying "brace yourselves, acceptances are coming" but **** it, its not working lol.

I guess they are already done interviewing... I thought there would be one more date (can someone reconfirm this?).

Now it is a waiting game. all of you people anxiously waiting, maybe you will hear the best news of your life in the next couple of weeks. I wish you the most pleasant luck.

Yes I can confirm this. They told us that we were the last interview group on 3/5.

I got the acceptance email this afternoon. All I saw was that it was from UCR and the first word was "congratulations" before my eyes got fuzzy and I couldn't read anymore. This is my first acceptance, I felt at home at UCR during my interview, and they are without a doubt near/at the very top of my list. I am beyond excited and appreciative right now. I'M GOING TO MEDICAL SCHOOL!!!

Congrats! Welcome to the school 🙂

If we interviewed 3/5 but didn't hear back, does that pretty much mean we are on the waitlist now?

Is UCR done with accepting their 24 undergraduate/alumni students? Interviewed in early November and not a peep

Have any of the non-accepted post interview folks contacted admissions recently? I'm assuming with second look day coming up next week they've probably made all of their offers already but I'm still holding out hope... Sigh...

you should call and ask

if you do call and ask please let us know! I'm in the same boat, I feel you

So I sucked it up and called. They are done sending out acceptances before second look day and are into waiting list mode. Not the best of news but definitely not the end!

Out of curiosity, how many of you still waiting would definitely go to UCR if admitted?

It kind of stinks how many people on this thread are waiting to hear back. Hopefully you all get in, but I also hope you have other acceptances that you can fall back on just in case.

I probably would. But then again, I'm currently sitting on 5 waitlists and 0 acceptances.

Would love to attend, but am grateful to have an offer at another school. Do you know approximately how may current students have come off the wait list in the past couple classes?

I don't have a concrete number. I am pretty sure this has been said before but UCR offers seats that are really likely to be taken. They don't send offers to anyone which means WL movement is slow. I mean its not to say people don't get offers from other schools (a lot do) but I would think a lot of those people will choose ucr over the rest (specific mission, its a UC, affordable tuition). I would think if you are waiting for a non-haider seat you are slightly better off, but ucr alum WL is pretty much stagant. I think I heard at a ucr som seminar that >85% of second look attendees end up matriculating last year. @general987 maybe confirm this from your year? I'll be going to second look I will try and give you guys what I can deduce.

Its not looking good... I felt like I nailed the interview too lol

I feel you on this one. But with MMI you never truly know. Plus I think they do wholistic app review even after the interview which may (or may not have) altered your score.

I concur about the matriculation. I didn't attend my own second day look because traveling 100 miles on the 15 during rush hour is not fun. But from last years class - I can only attest for the class of 2019. And they overwhelmingly all came looking back at the photo. I would even say greater than 90%.
