Does anyone have any sort of idea how many student CU accepts to fill their class of 184? Not necessarily the matriculation numbers, but the acceptance.

I think it was in the ballpark of 250 last year.

Just got an II from CU and I'm so shocked and excited!! OOS, complete early August with a LizzyM <65. A little worried though because I was already locked into another interview on the date they assigned me, January 15th, so I had to request a new date. Not sure how often they interview but hopefully that won't push it back to February. 😕

II! Complete first week of Sept. I'm OOS too (New York)
This is one of my top choices, so any interview quirks and tips would be much appreciated.

Do they send out the ii's throughout the day or did some just check their emails now?

Interviews are very laid back! Everyone is very nice and collaborative..and they expect the same from people they are interviewing. You will have 2 30 minute interviews. The interviews do not know your GPA or MCAT score...but do have your personal essays and other parts of your application from what I was told at my interview. Relax and enjoy! Be yourself!

Hello! In-state II offered, very excited!

I live in near the Springs area, and I was wondering (for all you other IS applicants) are you planning on staying at a hotel near the school or wake up early and drive?

Thanks!

I'd spend the money on a hotel nearby. You'll end up driving through Denver traffic from Castle Rock all the way to campus, and you never know how bad it will be on any given day. You don't want to be late or stressed out (anymore than you would normally be) on your interview day.

Best of luck!!

Assuming that the adcom had their meeting on the 30th, do you think we will start to see some movement this week? Interviewed 10/16 and am super anxious.

Interviewed 10/09 I have not heard anything yet either.. super nervous

Has anyone being outright rejected post-interview via email yet? Or will they hold off on those until December/January?

Were we suppose to receive a confirmation e-mail with our interview date and time after we confirmed it via the link they sent us?

No, but when you log in to the interview portal it will say you're confirmed.

They'll send you an email to remind you of your interview about a week before. It'll also contain a schedule with building locations.

Sooo excited for those of you who are getting acceptance calls!

I must say: I just got a call from a local number (303), freaked out, jumped up from my desk, and answered to the sound of a sales recording.... ULTIMATE BUMMER. Haha.

But good luck everyone! I hope we all hear good news real soon... 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT ACCEPTED!!!! WELL DONE!!!

Oh my gosh all you guys, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You have no idea how excited I am for you guys, I bet you are all so happy!

Got in II for mid February, wondering if they're mostly interviewing for The WL that late in the cycle? Anyone have knowledge of this?

No, you're not interviewing for the WL. Interviewees not accepted 1 month after their interview date are placed on an alternate list and more recent interviewees are considered on their own merits and then stacked against previous applicants. If they view you more favorably you get accepted. The wait list isn't officially completed after they've interviewed everyone.

Also, from what we were told, you will be re-reviewed farther down the line so you might receive an acceptance later in the cycle, rather than getting off the wait list.

Alright... considering I interviewed 10/9..it is safe to assume that I am in the alternate list?

Thanks for the info though..it makes a lot of sense.

You might still get a call in the next week or two!

My information on the post-interview process is based on what Dickerson said at the end of the day (not sure if he gave your group the same talk), but I only have n=2 worth of data on it (MD_Hopeful_2020 was in my group and also got the call yesterday).

Hey, so I submitted my app around mid september. any hint on if I will recieve word? does the school do silent rejections? holds? Thank you greatly in advance. I am OOS fyi

I think hindukid said it exactly. I interviewed 10/16 and was accepted this week. Interviews were very casual, first was with an MS4, second with a retired surgeon. For the majority of both interviews they just asked questions about me and wanted to know more about what they read and thought sounded interesting on my application, or about my family and stuff that wasn't on my application. This made the time fly by. I stayed with four MS1 the night before and they all told me that the same thing. They all told me they had the same question, which I was asked too, "Tell me about a time you failed and what did you do after that failure?"

Good luck, you will love it when you arrive, and you will be able to relax immediately! Just be yourself!

Hello all!

So, I'm an IS, granted an interview for Colorado.
At my other OOS interviews, I realized how helpful it was to stay with a student host the night before. They talk about their experiences in school, what they think about the curriculum, etc.

Do you think it's at all possible to stay with a student host, even though im IS?

Thanks!

CONGRATS on getting accepted! I actually interviewed with an MS4 this year and a retired surgeon last year!!

From what I heard during my interview I had the impression that the committee meets and gives phone call acceptances every other Friday, is that not correct?
