Is UIC pass/fail or honors/pass/fail cause on interview day, I was confused about that

Decision pending after yet another month. I am going to presume there is a silent waitlist and that I was placed on it. My heart can't take this

Just had my interview, and they said it was pass/fail/honors. However they were planning on changing it to pass/fail for the next entering class (2017).

so would that be our class since we are the next entering class? or do you mean the class after we enter? and thanks!

We'd be the 2016 entering class.
okay i see. thank you! Could our M2 be changed to pass/fail since that would coincide with the next entering class?
and also, did you guys get the feel on interview day that there's a big difference between pass and honors?

I never understood that. They still have class rankings and students can access that info correct? A couple of M2 scholarships are only available to the top 25% of the class.

I have interviewed already. Still a bad sign?

One thing I've noticed is that when there is a date, there's a chance it's still an acceptance, even if there's no "additional correspondence" tab. Has anyone been rejected with a date in the final decision message with no "additional correspondence" tab?

Has anyone finished the certified profile thing? What are we supposed to do for HIPAA, OSHA, and respiratory training?

Similarly, shouldn't the influenza one have a due date around September or October? I believe the HIPAA, OSHA, and respiratory training ones are completed once enrolled, so maybe the influenza one works the same way?

At my interview they said that even into the new pf system they are keeping internal numerical records of your course performance for scholarships and AOA (honor society).

Quick question for people that have received their financial aid award letter. Was it just loans or a combinations of grants and scholarships? I am confused because I was expecting more grants or even subsidized loans.

Just got my award letter tonight. It's only loans. I'm confused as well because I have received grants and stuff throughout all of my undergrad. It's possible that it could be because Illinois has yet to pass a budget for this financial year, so the money isn't accounted for yet.

So I'm in an odd situation for the moment. I received a final decision + additional correspondence last Monday and I just got my financial aid award letter, but I have yet to receive my snail mail acceptance. I logged into the portal and I'm familiar with the system because my undergrad school used the same thing, but I'm not sure what things I should get started working on. I found the link below a while back in the forum. Can anyone point me toward other resources or is this all I need? Also, any deadlines coming up in the next week that I might miss before getting my letter that presumably has more info?

Not that I am aware of. Just start your vaccine stuff and you should be good. Even if you miss something, they can't really penalize you if you weren't aware.

I received my II 3/17 and scheduled my interview that day. I have yet to receive the letter in the mail detailing all the information about the interview that they told me they were sending over the phone. Slightly freaking out, my interview is on Wednesday 3/30. I'm going to call this afternoon if it is not in the mail today. Can anyone tell me what is in this letter? I'm interviewing in Peoria.

Admissions committee meets every 3rd Thursday of the month? So decisions go out after that?
Thanks!

Yes, usually that thurs, fri, or even the following monday your status will be updated online. Decisions usually go out next weds by snail mail.

Anyone hear anything from IMED yet? They said they're interviewing during second look day, which is coming up soon.

Nothing yet on my front. I heard we were supposed to hear back mid March for that. Maybe they're behind?

Does anyone know when the last interviews here are? Or the latest known date?

Also, I just got moved to "applicant in process" after being "application in progress" and "applicant in progress" since July.

Does anyone know the timetable as to when a decision (II or rejection) comes after receiving the "process" status?

Thanks in advance

I'm under the impression things are pretty fluid over there and they don't have fixed dates. Last week admissions told me they were still inviting applicants into April and interviewing at least into the middle of the month.

Good luck, amigo!

"A final decision was made on your application on xx-xx-xx. Please allow two-weeks to receive the correspondence in the mail. If you do not receive this correspondence in two-weeks, please contact the Admissions Office. No decision will be given over the telephone."

This is a rejection, right?

It depends...did your portal change to show a little "additional correspondence" tab? If so, this is what happened to me and I was accepted! 🙂

For me it was a rejection.

Got the award letter, 90k approves in loans. My god. I thought they would give some sort of aid or scholarships, does anyone know how we could apply for scholarships?
