I'm so sorry, but on the bright side you got in somewhere and are going to be a doctor! May I ask, did you get the e-mail also around noon time or just now?

Regarding the laptop requirements... Does anyone know if Windows 10 is acceptable? The list of specs online says Windows 7 but it seems like most PCs now come with 10 pre-installed...

By EDP do you mean early decision? I have a few friends who applied early decision. One got in and the other was moved to the regular pool and had to interview twice, and then got in. Both were in a special pathway program that required them to apply ED. Five more of my friends applied early decision and got rejected flat out. So, I suggest applying in the regular pool if you have the choice. There's no need to restrict yourself to a chance at only one school, as early decision does not help your chances at UMass. Keep your options open!!
