2015-2016 University of Michigan Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would assume prior to matriculation as I have not heard of this HIPAA certification, nor would I expect anything that we cover during interviews to be breaching HIPAA regulations. How did you hear about it?

Hey guys, I'm interviewing here and am not sure if I need to upload the HIPAA certification prior to interviewing or prior to matriculating?
Any advice would be helpful, thanks!
I think it's prior to the interview.

It pops up after you send in the additional essays

If any of you lucky interviewees feel comfortable, would you mind posting your stats?? Really hoping for an interview here.

Best of luck!! Go Blue!

Btw I called and admissions said to get hipaa stuff done ASAP because we will be entering hospitals on interview day. the link provided in the 'checklist' works even if you don't have a u of m ID or anything (which I don't)

What status message are you guys seeing under your "checklist"? Has UofM started putting people on hold yet?

Just curious. Was wondering if a "Your file is now complete and under review" status message is an informal hold.

Nada. Oh well.

I want lasagna now.

Anyone who's received an II who can speak to what days interviews are being offered on?

Looking into flights - if the interview day ends at 3:30 PM, would it be possible to catch a flight that leaves at 7 PM from DTW?

Hey do you guys know if michigan sends out rejections? Or do they wait until the end of the cycle?

End of cycle
Can you elaborate on how you know this? I'm not saying you're wrong, because my only evidence otherwise is anecdotal, but a girl I know said she was rejected within a week of submitting her secondary last year. Also, the "interactive timeline" on their website makes it seem like you will be notified if you are given a "file closed" status.

See past couple of years threads. You are usually on hold for file review throughout interview season. Rejections/Defer/Waitlist are usually within a few weeks if you interview. They were overenrolled for a 2013/2014, back to 170 in 2015, so n0 real waitlist movement (effectively a rejection)
