I've heard another batch of pre-matches will come out on Dec 15? Here's hoping since I interviewed after Nov 15...

Where did you hear that? Has anyone heard anything else about pre matches? Have they all been sent out?

I was talking to students during my interview, and they say most of the pre-matches happen on Nov 15 and then the rest happen around mid-Dec to fill the class up. Would make sense that they send out more pre-matches since a good amount of interviews happen in that month in between. I wouldn't expect anything until mid-Dec though
 
Did anyone mailed or scanned the acceptance form? Also, was there any confirmation that it was received.
 
Has anyone that interviewed after Nov. 15 had any pre-match offers yet??

Nope. My interview was November 21, and they said we probably wouldn't hear back until mid December due to Thanksgiving.

I interviewed that same day. Keep me posted on what you hear! I did speak with Anne Mcclane when I was there and she let me know that there was not a specific day where they would release another round of pre-match offers, but that they would just trickle in as the committee made decisions toward the middle of December.

They do a few interviews in January according to the admissions office, but you wouldn't hear anything as far as pre-match goes. you would just have to wait until the match date.

Congrats! I interviewed on Nov. 21st so hopefully I'm just a week behind you with that acceptance... Good to know they are sending out offers now though!
 
Anyone know how long it takes for UTSW to appear on the ranking list? Interviewed the 4th, still don't see it.
 
To those who got scholarships for UTSW, is there anyway to access this info online?
 
Interviewed in October, OOS, heard nothing after interview and still silence now. I really, really wanna go here :scared::scared::scared: Should I keep my hope up?

Yeah I'm in the same situation. I was just wondering if a letter of intent would be a good thing or not. Soooo in love with UTSW and my husband is excited about Dallas so that's an added bonus.

I have a friend who went to my school that is OOS and has a crazy high MCAT and an overall great applicant who has not heard back from UTSW either. I would not get your hopes down just yet. Spots will really start to open up after the Match period. Many of the students I talked to there got in around April/May. Keep the hope alive! I'm doing the same!

When you mean match period, when do all TX residents hear back, and when would you say waitlist movement begins? Sorry, OOS applicant!

Sorry haha, the Match period is where each Texas applicant has to pick one Texas school and they do it by rank. So, a lot of people that are holding multiple spots, like myself, can't hold them anymore past January 21st. Past that, the deadline for holding a spot in any Texas school, like one from TMDSAS and maybe Baylor, is at the end of April I believe. Ive heard there is usually a lot of waitlist movement at the end of April because many of the students holding a spot at UTSW are likely to have one at Baylor as well.
 
Anyone have any guess about when the next batch of pre-matches will go out? My gut is telling me it will be within these next few days.

so what would you all say are the chances of getting in without a prematch offer? I'm trying not to be really pessimistic, but the anticipation is killing me.

I've heard almost all of the students either pre matched or got in off of wait list….haven't heard of anyone that matched to Southwestern
 
Just spoke to Anne McLane and she said that they're most likely done giving out pre match offers but it's up to the committee if they wanna give out a few more before the holidays. Also our applications remain in consideration until March.

I know UTSW tends to fill up the whole class with prematches. Did Anne say that all the spots were pretty much filled? Or do you think they are being more conservative this year and are saving more spots for the match?

Sorry, I didn't ask about that! If you want you can call up admissions and ask. I think she's free right now.

So does that mean all OOS are on the waitlist until spring if they haven't heard back by now? (I interviewed a couple months ago)

I don't think so! I think she meant it as ALL applications remain in consideration through March. She said IS/OOS doesn't make a difference. Plus there may still be some pre-matches!

I would assume the OOS students and the IS students are grouped separately (could be wrong). If that is true you would need OOS students to withdraw, which is a lot less likely.

Well this officially killed my morning. I interviewed on the 5th of this month. It would be unfortunate if no one who interviewed in Dec got a prematch. Historically, doesn't UTSW typically give out pre-matches to applicants who interview in Dec?

I interviewed on 11/21/2015 and was offered admission to UT Southwestern on 12/11/2015 (a few minutes after NoWheyBruh). Those that interviewed the same weekend as me or before could hear back anytime soon!
