Sorry, this question was probably answered before but does the post-II "hold" status appear only after the survey? I completed the survey just now but I couldn't find my status anywhere...

Yeah, it takes a while to go from survey status to post-interview hold. I think it depends on when your interviewer presents you to the committee.

probably got the bad luck of a lazy reviewer.

Man, I interviewed 11/30 and I got the survey message. Did the survey. The status then switched back to inviting me for an interview. Then last night I got a new status where it switched back to asking me to take the survey. The survey button is gone tho.

They told us when we interviewed that we'd get a decision today, but by these statuses I'm not on hold like the rest of you. Wondering if I should call. Seems like a glitch (OR A REJEction... 🙁 ). Anyone else experiencing this?

From earlier threads, some people received the post-interview hold status on the day decisions were released. Also, decision day could be today or tomorrow from reading previous threads. Hang in there!! 🙂 Hope you hear some good news!!

Oh that's good and hopeful news! Thank you! I did just call them to check on whether it was a glitch or something and the nice lady at the office was very patient and looked at my app and said, "No, no negative comments, you've probably just not been reviewed by the committee yet, hang in there til February."

Either way, whew!

@mcatjelly called VCU and they said I've finally been checked out by a reviewer for a secondary. Don't know how long that process take but at least it's movement.

Also learned the office is closed between 12/18-1/4. Seems like a really long vacation for a school that is so far behind this year

And yeah, wow. Maybe we'll get a response before then...?

Oh well that's disappointing then 🙁

And I'm more worried it won't be until after the new year. Probably won't be reviewed in 2x days
 
So does everyone receive a post interview hold? I interviewed a little after the first acceptances were sent out.
 
I interviewed on 12/7 and my application portal is only showing an invitation to a survey (which I already completed).

Did anyone who also interviewed recently have something different on their portal?

so i interviewed on 10/19 i think. i was put on the "post interview hold for possible acceptance" on 11/17. did you interview around that same time period?
 
Has anyone asked admissions whether we will get the decision tonight or tomorrow? It seems there are conflicting opinions whether it is the 15 or 16th! Maybe we shouldnt be getting our hopes up for tonight 😡

At my interview, Dr. Whitehurst-Cook said the 16th but the "hold" status most people got said the 15th.... Somebody call them please 🙂
 
On 11/13 I'm fairly sure they said 12/16 will be the day. The website and email says 15th. Did anyone who interviewed a different day than 11/13 also hear the 16th?

I can't remember what they said at my interview but the 16th makes sense. I say that because it looks like there were a lot of people switched to the hold status the day before decisions went out back in October and I don't see any hold statuses that happened yesterday; unless of course they all exist outside of SDN.

For some reason, I had thought it's the 16th as well, so I was confused when I saw it on the portal that it's the 15th. But I may have confused myself with Oct 16th or last year. Man, it's going to cause so much anxiety if today ends up being silent
 
Where on the portal does it say 12/15? I can't see anything written there, or my status change e-mail. I am reasonably sure Dr. Cook said 12/15 on interview day.
 
In the post interview hold of your portal, the verbiage should read: "We anticipate making offers around October 16, December 15, February 1, and March 16."

Note they say ANTICIPATE and AROUND, very squishy...
 
both the portal and VCU/MCV's public website say december 15th, for whatever that's worth. i guess we shouldn't get our hopes up about hearing back today tho if there have been multiple dates flying around
 
Gotcha, thanks. I haven't got a post interview hold status (just a survey invite) so that's why I don't see it.
 
At the very least, seeing that everyone else is also anxiously awaiting a decision makes me feel better! For some reason I convinced myself that today would be the day (probably from the portal message, despite the vague wording), and I was starting to get nervous when I hadn't heard anything.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

Today could still be the day! They usually dont send any acceptances until around 630

I interviewed on 12/2/15 and still have the survey status.

Not to stress you out, but every status update I have received from VCU has been around 6:30pm eastern time. Checking the thread from the last acceptances, they went out around that time as well... So if I had to bet, we will find out around that time.
