Haha absolutelyAnd the price of silver keeps going up in this economy! 😉
I am in the same boat as you. Still waiting for secondaries for some of my "pre-secondary" screening top schools too.I've been complete since August 12 for my top schools.
1 month later and still nothing. 😛
I think it's because of my uncompetitive academic stats. But I haven't been outright rejected either, which is a silver lining.
But...aren't you a medical student already?I'm hoping this school doesn't do silent rejections. Been on-hold since July!

my status essentially says, "waiting on MCAT scores" (I retook 0n 8/20, find out 9/20)...do y'all think they've already evaluated the other parts of my application? I submitted GW secondary 8/24. reapplicant..

They didn't wait for my new MCAT score to evaluate me, so not sure!
Were you ever on hold? And what's your LizzyM?II today for 10/11! Complete 8/21 🙂
No, I was never put on hold. And LizzyM is ~66. I also received an email for my II.Were you ever on hold? And what's your LizzyM?
We are a welcoming and inclusive bunch 🙂
Congrats! No, I was never put on hold. And LizzyM is ~66. I also received an email for my II.
YeahWhat about in previous years?
Has anyone received an II off of HOLD? I've been on hold since mid-july, and I am slowly losing hope!![]()
Thank you! LizzyM ~70LizzyM? And congratulations!!! 🙂
Interviewed here this past week:
Day started at 10:00am in the "fish bowl" with 12 applicants in total. 9 ladies, 3 men. Had three speeches by Princess (welcoming, basic information, and explanation of the day), an MD veteran (pros and cons of Georgetown, congratulations on getting this far, info about the school), and Ms. Sullivan (motivational, what it means to be a student and physician at Georgetown, what it means to be a healer, very compelling story). Next, a quick ten minute financial information session with option to ask questions. Next, went on a quick tour of the facilities with two students (MS1 - male and MS2 - female) then had a upscale buffet (salad bar, salmon, pork, chicken, deserts, all delicious) with the students. Went back to the fish bowl and waited for interviews. 7 went in right away, 5 had to wait until next round. Interview lasted about 4o minutes.
My interview was in my opinion pretty challenging, questions were very repetitive, it was by no means a conversation but rather as if I was being intentionally put in the hot seat and made to feel uncomfortable. I was asked the following questions:
Tell me about activity (x3)
Why Georgetown?
Why Medicine?
Biggest strength/weakness?
Three best qualities your friends would say about you?
One strength that you would never get rid of regardless of if it cost you acceptance to the program?
Three best qualities for a physician to have
Biggest problem in medicine? Give me another one.
If you gave a prescription ten times the dose what would you do? What if you were a medical student and it was the attending who gave the wrong dose? Challenged answer. Challenged again. And again.
What questions do you have for me (x7) - he did not have an answer to any question that I asked, extremely awkward but he kept asking me "what else"
Had an amazing day and loved the school, program, and speakers, but my interview left a bad taste in my mouth... I don't know if I was intentionally being put in the hot seat but it was probably one of the most uncomfortable conversations I've ever had.
Well I was officially put on hold today. I checked the portal last last night and before 8 this morning and wasn't being reviewed yet so I only saw my status go from complete to hold within a couple of hours.
Same
Yeah, that makes me pretty nervous. Like they knew right away they weren't interested? Hopefully that's not the case. That happened to me as well :/ I don't get how we could have been reviewed that quickly especially considering how a lot of people have had the under review status for multiple days or even a week

I was on hold since end of July though so not sure how likely that scenario is :/ but definitely hoping thats the caseOr they've assigned all interviews for a certain period so they're holding everyone until they make the next round of decisions
can anyone comment on how the interview day was, any "i wish i did ...", or just in general the feel you got from the school. It would be much appreciated!
+1 with the question. If any current MS or adcom can give some insight regarding this "on-hold" status. Is this status automically given to people who haven't gotten the II yet, or did we actually went through some screening and still remained "competitive" in the cycle?Has anyone been rejected? Or do they just put everyone on hold?
Personally, I am taking this "on-hold" as some good news as the adcom read my application and remained interested in my file.
Nope :/Anyone on hold for re-review get a II lately?
So I guess this means we are "doomed"Nope :/
I'd say it means the opposite? as in, they haven't actually made final decisions on the re-reviews. I'd be more worried if they had started sending out II's for people on hold.So I guess this means we are "doomed"![]()
Confused. Are there two different holds?I'd say it means the opposite? as in, they haven't actually made final decisions on the re-reviews. I'd be more worried if they had started sending out II's for people on hold.

Hold
Hold for re-review
Or both the same?
