Second Look is going to be March 17th! Anyone else going?

I'd probably go and maybe drive around to scout out neighborhoods/housing options too. Although excuse my ignorance but what exactly does second look entail?

Finally one that isn't scheduled for the exact same weekend as another! I can actually go to this one. :soexcited:

So is it just one day or two like a lot of other ones?

You guys think acceptances for 10/27 interview may be going out this week?

Any 10/13 or 10/6 still not heard anything?

Any idea when the 10/27 interview decisions will come out?

I thought they said 4-6 weeks post interview. 08 Dec will be six weeks so hopefully by then however based on earlier interviewees responses on SDN it may be a little longer.

Does it look like they are backed up at this point? Is it taking longer than 6 weeks for others who interviewed before 10/27?

This is week 7 for me, still silence. 10/13

Has anyone gotten post interview rejections? If so, how and when? 10/13 interview, getting anxious.

I don't think USUHS gives out post-interview rejections this early. It only places ppl on the alternate list, which is incredibly hard to get out of.

Rejected post interview. Interviewed 10/27. Notified by snail mail.

Sorry to hear that. I interviewed on 10/27 as well. When did you get the letter? Was it a straight up rejection or alternate list?

Primary waitlisted -- Army. Hopeful for some early movement!

Rejected pre-II. Well HPSP it is I guess. Good luck everyone.

Just got a status update email from Dr. Saguil. Is primary waitlist different from wait-list? So there's primary waitlist--> waitlist --> alternate list?

I received it friday or saturday, not sure since I didn't check my mail on friday.
And the words 'rejection', 'alternate', 'waitlist', and 'acceptance' did not show up anywhere in the letter. Without containing any of those words or any variation of those words, I had to exercise my well practiced Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills, and concluded that it was a straight up rejection.

I got the email and letter today that I'm on primary wait list. Interviewed 10/13 and preferenced navy

Interviewing here this Thursday. My current plan is to take an uber to the Medical Metro Center and then take the shuttle to USUHS. Is that a good idea or will this backfire on me somehow?! Staying at a hotel about a mile-ish away from the medical center.

That won't be too bad. Actually a pretty good idea. Look around for a group of uniformed ladies and gents at the Med Center Metro stop parking lot and that is where the shuttle will pick you up.

I think the easiest way to get on base is the metro. You can take the shuttle to campus from the metro and taxis will just drop you off at the gate. Either way works.

on behalf of everyone working on NSAB, please don't ride a taxi/uber without base-access all the way up to the gate during the morning rush. The metro station across the road (Medical Center/NIH) is a great place to be dropped off.

Yeah well, let's hope we hear something today! The wait has been killer!
I interviewed 10/27 also and haven't heard anything yet. What is the timeline for decisions again? It was 2- 6 weeks right?

Yeah today is 6 weeks. Does it seem like most people are hearing back by 6 weeks?
I'm not too sure I know some individuals who interviewed the same day as us have received either rejections or waitlist notifications, but I don't know how many of us have heard and if there have or have not been any acceptances.

Did they send out the 10/27 waitlists and rejections in the mail? I heard for acceptances you get a phone call

From what I have gathered it seems like rejections went out through regular mail and waitlist notification was sent through email.
