Hey all,

Do you think the II ship is close to sailing? The website says that interviews are only conducted until February, and if the only available interviews are 1/10 or later, does that mean they've almost given out all the interviews that they're going to?

The portal shows the last interview date being March 1st, and all of February and the last two weeks of January are still open. I definitely don't think its time to give up hope!

do schools normally fill up interview slots this soon? Granted apps have been being sent since early July but seems a lot of schools were just getting to apps in early august

Oh no, haven't seen that msny IIs on this thread either. I was thinking UNC is a lil slow in giving out IIs but they are almost full

Not every applicant joined into the sdn...a lot of my friends already got II's so far...

Hi I was wondering about hearing back from this school but now that I know they have till January filled, I have started to feel very queasy. The reason being is that I haven't seen other schools fill up slots this fast as has been reported on sdn. In fact, I know this because a lot of schools are still at October for II spots.
Additionally, I have not received encouraging words about my chances here, so I think this school might be very stats heavy this season? They have reported that they do not accept updates and only do so if invited for interview. Has anyone been able to successful input new information to improve chances of obtaining II? Also is it really true about the January till II scheduling? It's still a little shocking to hear how fast this school is going.

I called and confirmed they are scheduling for Jan and Feb with last date being March 1
I doubt I'll be hearing anything lol

I'm a re-applicant who interviewed over two weeks ago; I know at least 1 other person on my interview day was a re-applicant as well!

I'm from rural NC if that's what you mean. I'm in my last year of undergraduate. Dr. Rahangdale was my adcom interviewer. She was incredibly nice during the interview.

yea but that's it. I am pretty sure they have plenty of amazing applicants to fill those slots up very quickly. Holding out hope but it's dimming with each day of rejections 🙁

Past year's thread mentioned it was every other Monday; should we not expect more calls to go out until the 31st?

Hmm, I wouldn't say it's hopeless. We still haven't heard back from them yet which means we're still being considered. I'm just hoping it'll be an interview invite when they do give a response.

It's a bit unfortunate that not many MD schools accept updates pre-II but they have been nice about answering questions.

Not sure how many interview dates they have per week, but I think they have ~8 people per day with no specific morning or afternoon session (some people from the group interview in the morning and others do in the afternoon).

According to their website they conduct interviews on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. If they are doing each of those days per week that would still leave 96 interview invites for February.

I got FAFSA emails a few times last year and was not accepted. You can look at last year's thread.. I think everyone who interviews receives them. Sorry, I wish it was better news!
