Are these II for ED applicants only, or also for regular admissions?
 
Did everyone get the admissions process email on Sunday, or was that only sent to some people? My secondary was complete mid-July.

I did not receive it either. My secondary was complete mid-July, but I only got back my MCAT score last week.

i got the admission email also and my secondary was submitted 7/14

Yeah, I got the admissions overview email at 2am the previous Sunday. I think they most likely started sending IIs on Monday.
 
I just got the email for admissions overview a few minutes ago. Submitted 8/4.

Has anyone received an II and NOT received the admissions overview email?
 
Admissions process email also received, complete 7/19 OOS
 
Got the admission process email just this evening, OOS submitted 8/1 but wasn't complete with LOR until 8/4
 
Any reapplicants get an II yet? I remember last year reading that the reapplicants process was slower because they put you in a separate pool/screen.
 
The admissions process email might mean that the committee is going to be looking at your application soon. No idea why they would be sent out so randomly otherwise.
 
Ahhh this wait is already killing me. I am not sure how I am going to survive the next few months.
 
I'm pretty sure most people get the admissions process email.

But my primary app was verified August 4, secondary was submitted August 15 and marked as complete on the same day. I'm an in state applicant who hasn't received any interview invite 🙁 but I'm still waiting for a response
 
For those who received interviews.. did you guys get information about the interview day like in a separate email other than these we got when signing up for a date? because all I know is the time we need to be there and the day -__-
 
@machete fred, I was a re-applicant last year and I got my II towards the end of October and I interviewed there the beginning of January! I think most re-applicants interviewed between January and March but I'm not 100% sure!

@rfalrifa, I would highly recommend reading the post-interview feedback for UNC on SDN if you haven't already. If I'm remembering correctly, I got another e-mail sometime before my interview that had some more information in it but I can't remember exactly what it included. It definitely had directions to the interview room, where to park, etc. It was helpful for me because I was very unfamiliar with Chapel Hill!

I'm a current MS1 at UNC with very limited knowledge but if you have any questions, feel free to ask them!

Does UNC accept updates to secondary applications that have already ben submitted?

So what you meant is interviewing b/w January and March is considered late --> less chance of getting acceptance?

That's not at all what they meant. It sounds like reapplicants have an extra pre II review so most of them get later interviews.

I hope I get such email because I have the interview in like 2 weeks.

I just received the complete email and the admissions process email, minutes apart. I wonder why the discrepancy in length of time between the two.

I think I got a "complete email" because I have FAP. So it was like, 'just letting you know, we waived the fee, no need to do anymore on your part, your app is complete now and ready for review.

Do you all know if re-applicants are put into another pile? I am a re-applicant who interviewed last year. Its been over a month since my secondary was complete so I'm losing sleep over here. Should I just brace myself for a rejection?
