Ayyyeee. Lets all hope right now, this would be so painful if it wasn't real.
 
How late does this place interview/what are the prospects? I heard everything here is mostly prematch which is discouraging af :/

LizzyM 74 and nothing from these guys

There's only one interview day left at this point, in early January. Not sure whether IIs have gone out for it yet.
To be perfectly honest with you, it's not very likely that you will get in at this point (but of course anything is possible).

Edit: Also, yes it's mostly prematch, but there's also usually a fairly significant amount of waitlist movement, compared to most other highly ranked schools.

Yeah, I know, I was being a realist in terms of how their cycle is constructed. It's discouraging though :/

It's a tough school to get into. I hope you've had more success elsewhere! The cycle is wrapping up for Texas but it's barely halfway for the rest of the US!
 
Has anyone that interviewed in late nov/dec 3rd seen something similar to Naokuvi, neriticzone, or Skittsie13? Interviewed dec 3 and am hoping my chances at a prematch aren't over.

interviewed nov, and I have the tmdsas portal prematch offer like them but no official email or changes in sw's gateway
 
OOS people pretty much just have to wait for the email, right? Since they're not updating the gateway site... Jealous that y'all can see all this in the TMDSAS portal. Sweating bullets over here.

Yeah TMDSAS doesn't change for OOS, and I don't think MyGateway ever changed either (at least for me it didn't).
 
What is Day with a Doc (as self-explanatory as that name sounds)?

Sweating bullets as an IS applicant too! I'm not believing anything until I get an official email/call admissions at 9 AM on the dot tomorrow morning.

Honestly this seems like a lot of people getting prematch offers now... Historically only a handful of people have reported ones in December and they've usually been people who interviewed after 11/15. I'm skeptical but hopeful!

Still waiting, but UTSW is my one-and-only/top dream school (*fingers crossed*). I was reading earlier about letters of intent. When is it "too late" to send them? Do people usually send them during the pre-match period? Or does it really matter or make a difference?

The only thing I know is that last year, Anne specifically said in the waitlist email NOT to send letters of intent. So do it sooner rather than later, because once you get instructed not to send them, you definitely shouldn't do it.

The big problem being OOS is I can't check TMDSAS for the prematch, so instead of being productive with my life I now just stare at my email all day waiting for something that might never come :nailbiting:

<68... I have interviewed here before (was waitlisted) and raised my MCAT significantly inbetween.

74-75 for me. I lost hope after Nov 15 and was surprised so keep your chin up!

LizzyM ~74 here, interviewed in September. I also lost hope after 11/15 so I was very pleasantly surprised this weekend! There is apparently decent waitlist movement, so stay positive.

However, please don't be so focused on LizzyM. There are a million other things that are evaluated for med schools admissions besides stats.

I know, right? Please UTSW I just want to learn D: Hopefully most of us can squeeze by on the last waves of the prematch cycle.

Everyone is September and early November interviews ):

I hope there is still hope for us Late November and even Dec. 3rd crew! I remain hopeful as I too have heard there is a very significant waitlist movement here.

Late November here as well, hope it works out too. Were you in the pre-thanksgiving interview Koala? I think 11/19 or 20 ish

I interviewed in October, too, so I guess we're both in the same boat. But there's plenty of time for things to change so don't get your hopes down yet. You got this!😀

Oops pre-match was a typo. I meant to type waitlist. Yes definitely would make no sense at all to send a letter of intent after being accepted.
 
so I got a call from a dallas number today and called back and found that it was from UTSW but because they didn't leave a message, I have no idea who called. Did anyone else get a call or is an acceptance through another means, I am not sure if I should just wait for them to call me back, or call admissions myself

I think it got a little mixed in with all the posts today, but I interviewed 12/3 and did not prematch. I'm not sure if we were too late to be reviewed yet or not, but don't be discouraged in general
