That is what I assumed too, but looking at last year's thread this was what was said about it

I guess they wanted to see how you think through things which is similar to MMI, but there weren't any dystopian ethics cases which is typical of MMI. The questions were geared to let interviewers know a bit more about you. I even drew jelly fishes at one point 😛. I'm being vague for confidentiality reasons, but I hope you got what I was trying to say. Basically, it's super stress free and fun. But of course, there is method to the madness.

Just got the e-mail to schedule the phone interview! 6 days after my experiences review was completed.

Did the interviewer ask further questions based on your answers? Or were they just going down a list of questions?
 
Got offered a telephone interview on the portal with no email last Monday. What?!! I hope I didn't miss it.

Don't worry, you have to schedule a time for your telephone interview. You can try calling the school.

It is super early in the cycle! There are people who are accepted at every single interview days. You won't be interviewing for a waitlist position even if you get the very last interview date in March or so.

Relevant - my interview back in the 2013/2014 season happened in February. (Still got in to 4 schools, including this one obviously).

We had people accepted from every single interview day (I think that might be true for every class so far but don't quote me on that).

I know a couple of us who started on 8/2 finished about a week ago and others finished before and after us. So I'm pretty sure they're getting to your app!

3 weeks here. At least I know I can expect something (good or bad) within another few weeks. Unlike many other school!

It's been over two weeks since I got the email saying they're considering me for a phone interview and since then I've heard nothing. 🙁
 
Its been two days since I received that email and I'm already assuming they don't wanna chat with me on the phone

My experience review started 8/2 and still no completion...At least all of you guys have it completed :'(

Yes, people do get rejected at all stages of the process, including before consideration for phone review, or obviously before the phone interview. Last year we had ~6000 applicants and offered ~700 phone interviews and ~350 on-campus interviews, from which we offered seats to a class of 72.

Patience in this process is a virtue, and if you have gotten to a phone interview then you've already made it through the biggest cut. We don't offer all our phone interviews at once, they (and in-person interviews) are offered in batches as the cycle progresses.

Just had phone interview. I did study for it but overall not sure if you can study for it lol. Its really about your personality. Lasted 18 min as I rambled on forever. Person that interviewed me was super kind/friendly.

Its really difficult to gauge you do... guess just wait and see. V excited about this school tho, really hoping for some II love <3
 
Does everyone go through the experience review? I've been complete since 7/23/16 and there has not been any other status updates.

I think schools read through applications multiple times, if they already rejected you and didn't want to think about your app any further wouldn't they just send you a rejection e-mail? I've gotten rejections from two schools already. Don't burn yourself out by worrying like this. 😳
 
After I had my phone interview they said I would hear from the school within 3 business days. Did they say that to everyone else too? Doesn't sound like you all are hearing back so quickly.

For me, the "hearing back" after the phone interview was just an email saying my app was complete and under consideration for a campus II.
 
Watching some college football today and I have a VERY IMPORTANT question for current WMed students... Do y'all get access to WMU student tickets? How much do they cost?:laugh:
