Does anyone know if PURCH applicants can be admitted only at the main campus in case the PURCH interview doesn’t go well or is it an all or nothing type of thing?

Everyone who gets an interview at PURCH will also interview at the main campus for the regular MD program. In order to be considered for PURCH, you have to perform well at both interviews. But performing poorly at the PURCH interview won't affect you negatively for the regular MD program.

I sent one in September I think and they emailed back saying they got its. This was pre II but still silence
 
Has anyone else who interviewed late September still haven't heard back? I'll probably call this Friday if there's no news since it's been about 6 weeks.
 
Man, my one state school and still no news. Complete in early July. Maybe they are going to do a flood of IS interviews in December or January. Judging by the little activity on this forum it seems like not that many people have had interviews, although i guess it could be people who don’t use/like sdn.

I'm in the same boat, late september interview and haven't heard anything since
 
Today the committee is meeting and tomorrow notices will go out. 2 weeks ago they notified interviewees on 9/5 whether they finished that day who knows but they will move on to the next interview day which is September? does anyone know the next September day? let me know.The next meeting falls on Thanksgiving and could not get an answer if the meeting would be before or after 11/23. Waiting for the 10/11 date.

So did anyone hear back yet?
 
radio silence. So far the interview dates 9/5, 9/26/ 10/11. They decided on 9/5 intern interviewees but not sure if they completed that date. The should be finishing or starting 9/26. No one has posted today about decisions. IDK what is happening. Will call Monday and see if they are meeting before or after 11/23( Thanksgiving).Thank you plzacceptmemd for your input.

I interviewed on the same date and haven't heard back either. I tried calling today, but I pretty much went straight to voicemail. Guess we'll just have to wait.
 
i hope I get an II here, I'm legally a resident of another NE state but I've lived here for the past 1.5 years working full time and a lot of my clinical and non clinical volunteering is in MA so hopefully it helps haha, complete 8/7 I think

Does anyone know where the majority of OOS people are from is it New England or like all over?

Does anyone have any advice that they would be willing to share about the interview here? What general questions could I expect? I have mine next Monday (11/20) and am (obviously) pretty nervous :/

Subshake, I was in the same boat when I interviewed at UMass. It was my first interview and I was freaking out (classic fight or flight). But don't fret! All the admins, deans, and students I met on interview day were incredibly welcoming and kind. They really just want to get to know you. I know the MMI format can be daunting but once I got into the groove of talking on my interview day, I actually found it kind of fun. Be genuine with your responses and don't be afraid to think outside the box. Hope that helps and best of luck! 🙂

Thought this could be useful:
OOS (RI) submitted 8/7, II 8/16, interview 9/5, LM = 72, worked in ivy league med school for 2 years throughout undergrad, went to school and worked in mass for years, I haven't heard anything yet, but by the looks of it no OOS people really have. will update if I hear.

The majority (as reported by MSAR) are california, new york, connecticut, ri, virginia, georgia, and maryland

I haven't heard since 7/13 either, IS. It seems UMass is known to be one of the slower schools when it comes to admissions. If you look at last year's threads, pre-II rejections did not start until December and people complete in July and August were still getting plenty of interviews December-February. There is still hope!
 
When should late October/early November interviewers expect to hear back from? Anyone happen to have insight on if the committee meets each month to determine acceptances or something like that?
 
Any folks interviewing here tomorrow for PURCH and Friday for the MD program? 🙂
 
Can anyone speak to when the interview day was over? Trying to see if I can make a 9:00pm flight out of Boston.

Was done at 3:30, and that’s for the afternoon mmi, so if you happen to be morning session it could be even earlier. You should be good for 9:00, even if you’re taking the commuter rail.

The dean who I spoke with said they meet every other Thursday and acceptances go out Friday. He said as the cycle progresses after winter break they start meeting once a week.
 
Got an update email from the office saying they received my application and am currently under review. Honestly thought it was a rejection email by its opening sentence. Guess i'll be sitting in silence purgatory for who knows how much longer 🙁 submitted secondary mid-august
