Can anyone shed some light on if the day actually ends at 4:30? The last flight of the day for me is pretty close to that time and doubtful I would have enough time to get to the airport. I know one school let us out like almost 3 hours before the estimated end time so... just checking!

If you just tell them on the portal when your flight time is, you’ll get an email and they’ll schedule you for earlier interviews. I had the same situation and I was done at like 2 (even earlier than I needed to be)

Ok, awesome. I saw that but I was kind of worried it was a trap and would make me look bad if I selected it lmao 😛 The neuroticism is real.

Can anyone who's from upstate NY/Rochester (or has been monitoring weather) comment on likelihood of snowstorms and the like in mid-February? I currently have an interview out West two days after one at Rochester bc of limited travel time, and I'm wondering if this is a terrible idea...

Rejected pre-II, complete mid-August.

Does anyone know how long after the interviews decisions are typically sent out? I remember 6-8 weeks being thrown around, but can anyone confirm?

Has anyone received an email confirming receipt of their update?

I received an email confirmation from them when I sent an update pre-II, but now I sent a post-II update a few days ago and haven't received anything. I'm sure their office is inundated with emails and calls, but this is a pretty significant update for me and I don't want it to get lost. Plus I love the school!

I'm from Rochester. The weather can be very unpredictable (especially with snow because Rochester gets a lot of lake effect snow off of Lake Ontario). You should be able to get a flight out of ROC though within two days in the event that there are flights cancelled. But also you never know, it could be 55 that day! (It's a high of 56 in Rochester today... heat wave!!)

Thanks so much!

Interviewing soon. Since somebody asked above...my essays were ~100 words each. Hey, they said brief paragraph right? I think I figured that I want them to have questions about it so that I can talk about it during the interview itself 😛

Question for those who have interviewed: Do they offer you coffee in the morning?

Yes there was coffee and water provided in the morning.

Interviewed mid December and haven't heard back yet :lame:

Did anyone else receive the "welcome from Dean Lord" email? Basically a feel free to explore our grad programs online email. Maybe an error? Confused as I applied this cycle, although have yet to receive an II.

Interviewed here recently. Some info that may be of interest:

- No breakfast , only coffee, tea, and cocoa. Try to eat before the day
- Although the portal says expecting to stay until 4:30, the day may end early depending on your interview times. My day ended before 3
- The airport is pretty close (10-15 mins’ ride) and you only need to get there 90 mins before your flight
- Uber/Lyft works well here
- Rochester does a great job matching interviewers and interviewees. I actually enjoyed both of my interviews
- The medical center is organized by a weird number system - can be really tricky to navigate. I suggest just keep asking people as you try to find the interview locations
- The ethical discussion is extremely low-key. I am a shy person and worried a lot about this before the interview day, but it turned out perfectly fine. Just try to be respectful and open-minded throughout the discussion. The time will fly very fast
- There is a lot of down time throughout the day. Try to go to the M1 and/or M2 lectures if possible. They are pretty interesting and can help you relax

Does anyone know when they stop sending out IIs? I've been complete since August and haven't received any correspondence from them whatsoever 🤔 LizzyM 70.

They interview through March. I feel like they still have some interview spots available, especially as people may be withdrawing. I'm staying hopeful, even though I have no business applying to this school with my stats. :xf:

Interviewed mid December, rejected today. One of my favorite schools, so pretty bummed. 🙁
