Looks like they're doing rejection in order of MCAT scores from the top and going down. I'm expecting the R soon, lol.
Yeah I'm just sitting down here with a <510 MCAT hiding

Im sorry to hear that, Do you mind telling me when your app was complete?Rejected just now pre II. "Because you did not receive an acceptance to Rochester does not mean that you are not qualified for medical school." Thanks but I'll trust the schools that have accepted me over you on that now.
lol same! i was looking at these LizzyM and i was like... welp, here it comesLooks like they're doing rejection in order of MCAT scores from the top and going down. I'm expecting the R soon, lol.
I think my lizzym is <70, 3.4/516anyone with a LizzyM <70 get rejected?
II today, OOS, LM 75
mid-SeptWhen were you complete?
Yep!Thanks for the response!! Did you send it to the mdadmish email address?
I'm from the area and right now there is roughly 6-8 inches of snow on the ground. I would suggest bringing boots or heavier shoes for getting from the visitor lot into the building (no more than a few hundred feet of distance), but formal interview shoes, whatever those may be for you, should be fine for the tour as it was completely indoors. As for clothing, any sort of jacket should be enough for the short walk into the building.Wondering what shoes to wear for interview since it's gonna be cold and snowy. ? I'm from an area where it's always warm lol helppp
Is the tour indoor only or do we go outside at all?
not yet...holding strong...for now..on pre interview holdanyone with a LizzyM <70 get rejected?
Submitted early August, never heard back from Rochester.not yet...holding strong...for now..on pre interview hold

I was complete 08/18Really sorry you guys 🙁 I hope you hear back from other schools you guys love!!
May I ask when you guys were complete?
Here's how I worded one of mine
Dear X School of Medicine Office of Admissions,
I am currently scheduled to be in the X area for an interview from Date 1 to Date 2.
I understand that you only interview a limited number of qualified applicants, and that many of the early interview spots may be already filled. However, if I am fortunate enough to currently be under consideration for an interview at the X School, I was wondering if it would be possible to schedule it in that general time frame to avoid the cost of multiple flights to the area, as well as to minimize time spent away from school.
I realize that this is relatively short notice and if I am not able to interview at this time, if necessary, I would be happy to travel to X in the future.
Thank you for your help and consideration.
Sincerely,
i missed my call from them too but they left me a voicemail so I'm sure they wouldn't call unless you were accepted!
Have either of you guys gotten any updates on the online portal?ACCEPTED! Just got the call!!
yea, i was thinking about sending one when i go home for break, however im from downstate and i don't think rochester would consider that "in the area"
Nope, no change or email yet!Have either of you guys gotten any updates on the online portal?
Hi, quick question about the "Activities and Essays" that Rochester asks you to fill out before your interview - is work considered an "extra-curricular/volunteer experience"? I'm taking a gap year and working, so that's something I would usually list as a significant experience but I'm not sure it falls into either of these categories. Thanks!
Thank you so much!!Yep! I think all but one of my activities were paid employment (non-trad).
Congrats!! Thoroughly enjoyed my interview there. Hoping for good news..II today!!!! (3.43 | 526 | complete 7/8) SO LUCKY <3
I included a sentence about the activityfor anyone who interviewed, on the page of the online application where we are asked to list our 4 most significant ECs, did you write a sentence about each one or did you just include the title? As in, did you write 'Scribe at Internist's Practice' and nothing else, or did you include a description of the activity?
I included a sentence about the activity
Both my essays were ~350 words! Thank you and best of luck in your interview!awesome, thank you! congrats on your acceptance btw 🙂 it seems they are pretty lenient about the length of the two essay questions, but about how many words were each of yours if you don't mind me asking?
When were you complete?Just got offered an interview (unexpectedly!). 3.85/516, MA resident, ORM.
