I emailed them a while back about not having a non-science professor LOR and this was their reply: "We will need a non-science letter from someone you may have had employment, volunteer, or shadowed, etc."

I've been having this problem! I don't see CASPer in my portal either. Did your application get marked as complete yet?

I think it has to do with CASPer. I have the same situation and in the email I got, it said an application is not complete until (list of things), with CASPer score being one.

yeah it was eventually marked as complete but it took a while so I wouldn't worry about it!
 
For the second optional question. Could I talk about the reasons for my upward trend.
 
Just completed the secondary today as it was a last minute add on to my original list of schools.. hope it goes well for you all!

They confirmed they received it after I had emailed them explaining my situation but I still didn’t get my complete email for another ~1.5 weeks!

To those put on hold - did you receive a complete email beforehand? I'm marked as complete in the portal, but haven't received a complete email. Also my portal says "Your application is ready" rather than my application is under review.

On my application status it says "application not submitted"... even though it shows that I clearly submitted the secondary, other schools using CASPer have already received my scores, and all other required supplemental materials are in as well. I'm not sure what this means and whether or not I should contact the school directly...?
 
First II, ironically at my alma mater.

There's a section in the "Coursework and Experiences" for "Clinical competencies" but I have no coursework to cover that, and my experiences aren't showing up in the list. Is this an error on their part?

Hey guys. So I have been marked complete and received a completion email on 7/8. My portal has been saying "you application is ready" since completion. For those who have been place on hold or received and II, was there ever a "your application is under review" status?

Last cycle mine said "your application is ready" until I scheduled my interview. The best thing is to check your communications tab because a hold or II would show up there as well.

thank you, nothing there yet and its been since 7/8. Idn whether thats good news or bad news
 
Is being out on hold bad? Or what does it mean. I received my complete email last week.
 
I just noticed MSAR data shows that they didn't have any TX residents represented in their class. Is that reflective of the idea that they are one of the schools that looks unfavorably upon TX residents because they feel we will always pick a TX school if accepted? TLDR; is it worth applying as a Texas resident?

I think it may be a mix of them being one of the more expensive US MD schools and people in texas tend to get decent in stats love and have much cheaper options that have comparable "prestige". They may have accepted TX students but may not have had matriculates.
 
Question, for the first secondary short answer, if I literally just graduated, is it okay to talk about future plans in this section? I'll be starting as a medical scribe in about 2 weeks. Because as I'm filling this secondary out, it's been about 3 days since I finished my summer class, so not much to say in terms of what I've been doing lol.
