Can someone please clarify- if you're waitlisted at multiple schools but not accepted to any, then you don't have the planning tool in your AMCAS app, correct? You don't need to take any action for the "Plan to enroll" deadline?

Asking because I'm panicking if I was supposed to choose options for my waitlists.

To my knowledge PTE and CTE are not required at all by AAMC. It depends on the school. For one school I was accepted at they required you to select PTE by April 30. The other school I got into only requires CTE by July 8th. It depends on the school.

I get it. I just know that during the last cycle there was a lot of movement on May 8th. The adcom needs time to process everything (especially with the new traffic rules or whatever). I’m not saying I haven’t started prepping for the next cycle, but for my own sanity I’m trying to hang in there.

This concerns me too, but as someone who stayed in a FB a group of a school I wasn’t going to for a while after I withdrew, I’m guessing there are people like that for the Umass group. Hopefully a lot lol

I know the wait is agonizing, but at this point schools probably won't pull from the WL until
a spot opens up due to someone turning down an acceptance. They need to be careful not to
over enroll. So you need your fellow applicants to make a commitment!

Try not to use the FB group numbers as any sort of gauge. Many accepted students join every facebook group at every school to which they were accepted in order to see what the vibe is like, get updates on the process, etc. For example, there are well over 300 students in one of the groups I'm in for a school that has 200 incoming students. This number is totally irrelevant.

I think I heard of that happening to someone else and that got an acceptance within 24 hours

I did not receive it. However, I did have my background check done through the AAMC Certiphi system already. I did not yet send it to anyone though.

I was accepted last week off the waitlist and the offer letter says you have five business days to accept and pay the acceptace deposit of 100$
