Wouldn’t that mean this is the last wave if they’re scheduling January and they stopped around this time last year?
Fruitjuice, I’m trying to have a nice delusional time here, coming in here with your “evidence” and “rationale”. Really, right in front of my salad??

That being said, I see your point

so if this school isn't rolling, do all applicants truly have an equal chance? there's gotta be some advantage to earlier IIs recipients right? or do they really just all gather around a massive table and decide in february for a march decision release lol

Probably depends on how much the interview weighs as well. Maybe the % accepted from your day will be lower because they prioritized other candidates slightly, but they like you enough to consider you and a great interview may help you get the A/ a priority waitlist spot.

Do they have a priority waitlist? I thought it was just A vs WL post II

I guess being an alumni means absolutely nothing /s
💩 I will pretend like I still have a chance though

I got an II right before Thanksgiving for another school in NYC and want to send an ITA here. The only issue is that the interview is next week for the other school. Is that too short of notice for an ITA? I figure it doesn't hurt to try, but I'm not sure. Also, do I specifically mention that I will be there because of another interview or do I make it seem like I'll just be there in general?

One with faculty, one with a student. Both are 30 minutes and very laid back
Awesome, thanks. It says on their website applicants can be notified of a decision as soon as one week after their interview. Any idea if they generally have a quick turn around like that or if it's generally longer?

I don't really go on SDN much so I haven't been reading this thread 🙂

Uh all decisions I’m pretty sure are released in (mardh?) ... it’s on their website. You will not hear back until then or after I thought

Late February/early March. All are released at the same time.

Also I had two faculty interviews

Oh my bad, I was looking at admission to a different program within Columbia. Thank you all!

Does anyone know the closest garage to park at for the overnight stay at Bard Hall? I am driving in!

There are really no good, well-run options. All lots in the area will be slow to drop off/pick up your car, and still reasonably pricey (though obviously way less pricey than the rest of the city). But there’s one on across Broadway on 177th. There’s also apparently one on 162nd. Then of course, hospital parking- not sure where that is or how you’d find prices, but it definitely exists. Hope that helps!

My soul has been crunched. My her torn to pieces. I should have not read this thread my hope for ii is gone. Good luck to all the interviewees. We won't be classmates at this school at least.

Turn it into your mission to become a doctor so damn good that Columbia will REGRET not having taken a chance on you. I love the school (if you guys are reading this thread, please accept me), but my worth comes from myself and myself alone. If I don't get in at Columbia, that's what part of my mission will be.

Yes! I love this! Know your worth Kings and Queens.

Anyone have specific interview advice? This might be my only opportunity for an A and I really don't want to blow it. From the Interview Feedback page it seemed that the questions were very specific to each individuals application, is that still the case this year?

Did anyone have ethical or behavioral questions? I haven't really been exposed to these yet
