In the past, the first wave was rejections and the second wave at around 10am -11am was waitlistsAny thoughts on what no email yet means?

Yeah that first wave of rejections was reported at like 9:10 am on last year's thread (add that to the list of things that I'm not proud I know) sooo should be any time nowIn the past, the first wave was rejections and the second wave at around 10am -11am was waitlists
Does columbia offer merit aid? apologies if this info is easily found elsewhere.
They're need-based only but they meet 100% of your calculated need with scholarship money.
I think last year I read them about them giving merit aid, but it was minimal (~10k?)Does columbia offer merit aid? apologies if this info is easily found elsewhere.
welp i just got the R 4 minutes ago. damn
+2. On the bright side, it means I don't have to hold out any longer. Good luck to those who end up on the waitlist and congrats to those of you who were accepted!+1, thought the delay was gonna mean waitlist but nah
No email yet but my portal updated with this immaculately worded rejection letter under the admissions decision tab
Wait...is this for real or photoshopped?
mine did. honestly at this point I'm done falling for columbia's overly nice messages lol+2, does everybody’s say highly regarded applicant?

by the way to the future neurotic premeds applying next year reading this. interviewed in september by JA who caught me off guard by starting the interview telling me i had one of the most competitive apps he had ever seen and virtually told me he was sure id be accepted. hard R today lmao it stings
Is there any place we can click to accept the WL offer?
Waiting for someone to post some WL stats...
I agree. So far my acceptances have come from schools where my interview was pretty average, and what I thought were my best interviews led to R/WL. I’m honestly convinced that the decisions are already made, and that interviews are just a formality.Same interviewer, same exact quote. Please take what your interviewers say with a grain of salt. Your performance on interview day here and many other programs holds virtually no weight. It’s more of an excluding factor if it goes poorly.

well that sounds like an easy decision then, for multiple reasons.Got waitlisted... would just prefer a rejection so it's over. Seriously congrats to everyone who got in. I may just withdraw from the waitlist since I was fortunate enough to get into another school I really love, although I was about 50/50 with Columbia. Unsure what to do next...
Hold on to the WL offer! WL movement is quite active here. Like an above poster said, pretty much the same cohorts that were accepted to Hopkins/Penn/HMS have also been accepted to Columbia. We can all only attend one school, so seats will undoubtedly open soon. And unlike mayo...not everyone is automatically thrown into the WL pile. I heard the swag is weak but the food is worth it.Will there be an accepted students FB group? Also, what will I miss out on if I can't make the second look revisit dates? Do they give out any free swag or food?
I don’t think people usually go to second look at schools they’re waitlisted atCorrect me if I’m wrong, but I’m assuming there’s no waitlist movement until mid-April based on the aamc plan/commit to enroll date.
Which means if I’m on the WL, I won’t be able to attend second look.
To any current students, I’m wondering how important second look was for you in making your decision?
