I tried to insert a helicopter emoji in my earlier post but it didn’t work...
My guess is the pirahna example actually happened. So, I was exploring the UMich graduate housing website when I happened across this gem. One makes you wonder what specific series of unfortunate events needed to happen in order for this to be codified into their regulations...
Probably! That’s usually the case when the rules are super random. I’m actually glad they made this rule official, though! My guess is the pirahna example actually happened.
I wonder if pythons or constrictors are also excluded ;-)

To anyone who interviewed already. How important are the night before activities? Is it enough if I just show up at my interview at 7am the day of? If I can't go to the dinner/get together the night before will this impact my chances for acceptance?

It’s worth contacting them and seeing.Michigan Monday has been good to me!!! II a couple of minutes ago.
However, they only gave me two dates in october, but I am doing a fellowship outside of the country. Are they receptive to giving me more options? I will be back in the states for two weeks in November.

Insert copypasta from Goro saying apps are not reviewed chronologically. How is it that some who is complete on August 16th and one who is complete 7/20 get an II lol. Congratulations though!! I just dont understand how they go through applications
Sort into piles based on GPA/MCAT/race/undergrad school/whatever they want to prioritizeI am so perplexed on how medical schools sort through applications. It makes no sense to me. If they don't go chronologically, then how do they do it? I am genuinely curious.
yeah i’m OOSAre you both OOS?
This is the strategy to take with UMich. They only sent me mine after I repeatedly called them daddy.Hey bb. I’ve been having a pretty bad day. Want to maybe...idk lol...like send me an ii
They have still issued under half of expected total IIs.If we haven’t received a II yet today, should we not anticipate one? Like do they go out in a batch?
Halfway filled with interview invites, overflowing with tears. They have still issued under half of expected total IIs.
Glass is still half full.
just to clarify.... I was referencing that Michigan has not yet sent more than half of their anticipated total IIs.Halfway filled with interview invites, overflowing with tears.

I was not referencing IIs received.
Not hard, I’m short. Haha (laughing at myself)
For the last week, this page reported 190 IIs scheduled. Today says 276, so 86 difference (previously I had typo when I said 87)The tweet literally says 36 ii. Where’d you get 87?
So the total ii offered is somewhere around 500 correct? Is it also just a rumor that IS applicants gets ii later in the cycle. Aka can we assume that there are still half the interviews available for oos276 interviews scheduled so far![]()

That's the rumor, BUT I know OOS folks who got interviewed (and accepted) later on in the cycle. So the total ii offered is somewhere around 500 correct? Is it also just a rumor that IS applicants gets ii later in the cycle. Aka can we assume that there are still half the interviews available for oos
Five year total average is 527 IIs.So the total ii offered is somewhere around 500 correct? Is it also just a rumor that IS applicants gets ii later in the cycle. Aka can we assume that there are still half the interviews available for oos
