So, I was exploring the UMich graduate housing website when I happened across this gem. One makes you wonder what specific series of unfortunate events needed to happen in order for this to be codified into their regulations...

My guess is the pirahna example actually happened.
I wonder if pythons or constrictors are also excluded ;-)

Probably! That’s usually the case when the rules are super random. I’m actually glad they made this rule official, though!

I tried to insert a helicopter emoji in my earlier post but it didn’t work...

If you insert a helicopter emoji into a post, the post must begin I'm going to hide this post when I'm finished and be signed Helicopter Pilot, U.S. Outpost number 31.

To anyone who interviewed already. How important are the night before activities? Is it enough if I just show up at my interview at 7am the day of? If I can't go to the dinner/get together the night before will this impact my chances for acceptance?

You absolutely do not have to go to the activities. They are purely for you to get a chance to learn more about the school, meet current students and fellow interviewees, and ask questions!

Michigan Monday has been good to me!!! II a couple of minutes ago.
However, they only gave me two dates in october, but I am doing a fellowship outside of the country. Are they receptive to giving me more options? I will be back in the states for two weeks in November.

It’s worth contacting them and seeing.

I was complete July 20th! Also it took me almost a month to submit my secondary. So they might be tracking back on a couple apps! Good luck yall

How is it that some who is complete on August 16th and one who is complete 7/20 get an II lol. Congratulations though!! I just dont understand how they go through applications

Tally... looks like 87 IIs went out today. So about 50% of total have been sent so far.
Maybe next week for those who are Michigan II-less.

276 interviews scheduled so far
36 offered today

So the total ii offered is somewhere around 500 correct? Is it also just a rumor that IS applicants gets ii later in the cycle. Aka can we assume that there are still half the interviews available for oos

For the last week, this page reported 190 IIs scheduled. Today says 276, so 86 difference (previously I had typo when I said 87)

It sounds like they just haven't been updating that consistently.

That's the rumor, BUT I know OOS folks who got interviewed (and accepted) later on in the cycle.
