Were you previously placed on hold for an Interview Invite here?

Does anyone know if their student health insurance plan lets you add dependents? I'm not seeing anything in the PDFs saying whether or not I can.

That was a very quick turnaround that I wasn’t expecting

I hear they ask 1-2 didficult questions during the interview... did you find that?
They def asked one that was tricky but my person told me while I was trying to think of an answer that it was “a hard question” and that actually made me calm down and realize they weren’t out to trick you or anything! Just know that!

what are popular rotation sites? does anyone know the process for being placed at a certain rotation site? thx!
The West and East Valley rotation sites are the biggest. There are several in California and since we have a large number of students from California they were popular sites but they only have like 50 seats available so...not easy to get. The way rotation selection happened this year was that they gave us presentations on each site and then sent out a survey for us to select our sites. They are assigned first-come-first-served basis. So, those that completed the survey immediately were more likely to get their first choice. Let me know if you have other questions!

Good to know, I’ll be prepared

Omg i interviewed recently and feel horrible about it... wth was that? Anyone else have the same feelings?

Same and I got the fat R two weeks later. It is what it is. I wouldn’t take this one too hard tho.

Whatever you do avoid talking about allopathic schools and cost. I was asked if I applied allopathic and I might have gotten too in detail about why I applied allopathic rather than why their school. For example I talked about how it made sense to apply to my instate school since it was my alma mater, my mentors are professors in the school of medicine, and cost etc. Considering that this is one of the most expensive schools that’s probably not the best idea. I wouldn’t worry too much about the interview itself. Most people said it’s easy and conversational. After they hammered me about that I knew it was over when they asked if my family approved of me applying DO and my stance on abortion.

Oh dang man sorry to hear that... Yeah I may have made that mistake too at a different school. I also gave into the allopathic school question a bit and I guess it took away from my reason to apply DO or something because I got put on a waitlist.

Its all good since I got into my number one school but still.... to have a PhD interviewer, not even a DO interviewer question whether I wanted to be a DO was a huge turnoff for me from this school. If I hadn’t been accepted to the University of Washington, I would have whole heartedly be happy with Western (one of the DO schools I was accepted to at) and that would be that.

He probably knew you had a decent shot at your alma mater especially since it favors students from the region. But yeah it still goes to show there is more emotion involved in interview decisions than one might expect.

Yup so don’t do what I did. Also if you really can see yourself here talk about how you love the school atmosphere, the countless research opportunities which is practically unheard of in a DO school, the schools reputation, and the proximity to a big city. I couldn’t see myself here so.... I guess I didn’t sell myself hard either but my loss is all your guys gain. So good luck

that was such a quick turnaround! I tried to pm you for stats but couldn't - would you mind posting them here instead? I submitted my app very late (Jan 10th) and hoping for a quick turn around like yours haha

About to interview next week don't scare me haha!
One of the people interviewing me was just grumpy from the get-go ! Maybe this was unique to me? Not sure, but I hadn't even sat down yet and they already seemed unimpressed with me.

This happened to me at another school. Turns out they were chosen to act the part, both of them, to play good cop bad cop and make my interview stressful
