I wonder if they take pre-II letters of interest or updates hahaThe numbers of OOS probably have been far lower than the IS group.

They do. I submitted one in November. Probably doesn't say much considering I haven't even been put on hold yet, and got no notice from the MSTP when they finished up interviews.I wonder if they take pre-II letters of interest or updates haha

There is a So you wanna be a physician event that OHSU is hosting in early March. Admissions, graduating MD students, etc will be there. May be a great idea to get some perspective. I'm going. What info session ?
Oh I went to that last year, it was really informative. More for the next round of applications rather than those who already have an A.There is a So you wanna be a physician event that OHSU is hosting in early March. No, considering I haven't gotten one yet! I don't think they really mean much, just lets them know that you still existDo you think it helped you get an Interview?

I honestly cant stand it. April 30 seems so far away for a final decision
Good morning to all my fellow applicants waiting for either a decision or II, if I get banned know that it was because I spoke for the frustrated masses

Fam no take backs you have to do it nowI'm joking btw 😉
There's a pre-II hold??I would appreciate a pre-II hold at this point. Total silence is killing me. Is my file lost or did they just toss it into the trash can?
Yep, I was on it two cycles ago! I think that was in Dec/January when I go the pre-II hold. There's a pre-II hold??
It's possible they got rid of the pre-II hold. I haven't seen anyone on it this cycleYep, I was on it two cycles ago! I think that was in Dec/January when I go the pre-II hold.
Last year I got an II in November and my application this year fixed everything they had an issue with lol so....my app is in the trash huh 🤔
When I emailed them a while back, they mentioned "as you know, you are on hold". I don't have a hold in my file. Maybe they have holds on their end that we can't see? Glitch in the matrix?Yep, I was on it two cycles ago! I think that was in Dec/January when I go the pre-II hold.

Just for you, I'll call em next weekFam no take backs you have to do it now
Someone else can probably find the source for this, but I'm 99% certain that they interview for a spot in the class, not a spot on the waitlist. If I was to receive an II, would it be for a spot on the waitlist?
They say that they interview for a seat in the class on their website, but they call it "modified rolling admission" so it probably means it's more likely you'll end up on the waitlist, but who knows. This info is from the FAQ on the Admissions page: Admissions | OHSUIf I was to receive an II, would it be for a spot on the waitlist?
They acept the top 10% of the interviewees and place the rest on Hold and then when they are done interviewing thye let everyone know their decision. So no it is not for the waitlist. Should I call and ask if they’re still offering IIs?
Can confirm this as well. Also, remember, they offer between 220-250 acceptances each cycle and pull between 30-60 off of the waitlist each year. This indicates that there are likely between 20-40 people who have been accepted early in the cycle, declined their spot, and then had their spot offered to someone else by April 30. The process is still very much so ongoing.

What do you think the percentage chances are of being accepted off hold at this point (In April or otherwise)? I know they accept roughly 40 percent of the people they interview, but how has that percentage changed for people on hold?
Anybody else with input on this? Thanks.
Is there an estimate as to which day in March is the last interview?I wouldn’t. There was a data point last week with someone reporting an interview invite for late March with three days to respond. Invites will continue to roll out until a week ish before the last interview as folks start to decline interviews.
Are you still waiting?Well there are some who are still waiting for IIs. Just saying
It’s probably pretty consistent at 40%. The good news is you’re not in the 10% that was declined post interview and that your application is still in play meaning your overall score indicates there’s a shot.
My guess is OHSU will probably need to offer more acceptances this year given the new program in California offering free tuition and the recent changes to step 1 impacting how folks are evaluating medical school reputation.
Should I call and ask if they’re still offering IIs?
No. I’m scared to now. HahaDid you end up calling?
YesAre you still waiting?

Are you OOS, if you don't mind my asking? Just wondering if I should be still holding out for an IS II!II, complete 7/14/19
I'd love to know as well. Dying here lol XD ISAre you OOS, if you don't mind my asking? Just wondering if I should be still holding out for an IS II!
Any MD/PhDs with an acceptance or a rejection post-II yet? Re-visit is in just a week so I would think that some would be hearing back.
Check your portal status. Emails were only sent if you were accepted IIRC, so you may either just be on hold or rejected if you have not received any correspondence. I think the majority of post-II decisions become holds and won't turn into a formal decision until late April, so it is unfortunate that the MD/PhD second visit is so early.
