After submitting my application back in early Nov, I got an email saying: "Your file is now under review by the committee. This review process could take 4-6 weeks." 6 weeks have come and gone without hearing anything. I'm just wondering if they follow this timeline?

My application was like that for a LONG while. Maybe you'll hear back sooner than I did, but generally I think it will take longer.

Just got an II here ! The next available date is in April. But chose to waitlist for earlier dates. P excited

Hoping there's some movement for earlier interview dates!! I got one back in November and the earliest I could schedule was for March...I emailed Hope and waiting to hear back 🙂

Did anyone send a thank you letter after your interview? If so what was the address where you sent it?

I didn’t and I don’t think it matters tbh.

I only sent a thank you email to one person in particular! And I only felt that it was appropriate to do so because he gifted me with a book.
I knew I wanted to send him a thanks, so I found him during lunch and asked for his contact information.
🙂

Thank you. I think I’m going to do the same. I felt that I really connected with one of my interviewers and she gave me her info so it seems appropriate. Was only debating if I should send a physical letter or an email.

II today. The only one available is in April. All other dates (Feb and March) are booked

II today! The only one available was April 3rd with other waitlisted for dates. Submitted secondary last week on Monday and OOS.

Has there been any movement for those currently waitlisted?

I interviewed and was waitlisted back in October. My understanding is that some years PNWU will pull from the waitlist throughout the cycle and other times it is not until after April. Thanks!

Got a call from a random Washington state number and almost freaked. Turned out to be a wrong number. C'mon PNWU, show me some love!

haha I'm assuming no one has heard anything yet regarding 1/10 interview decisions?

I’m starting to think we aren’t going to hear back today. I’m bummed, I don’t want to stress over this all weekend.

Same here. I'm guessing we'll hear Monday then hopefully, unless they make calls/updates after 5pm which is pretty unlikely

Are students allowed to do clinical rotations outside of the 5 areas they usually place students in?

Does anyone know there post interview acceptance rate? Also anyone who interviewed mind sharing what there interview day was like? Thanks

Looks like last year they did about 800 interviews and made about 260 offers for 144 spots. So the post interview acceptance rate is right about 32% for last year.
The interview was MMI format with 4 mini interviews and two group activities. It seemed like a good environment, everyone was very nice.

How many days a week would one HAVE to be on campus first year?

4-5. not for the whole day, but there’s usually a quiz or lab at least 4/5 days. 3 days have labs (FM,OPP, and Anatomy). The other two are usually quiz/CIL activities that bring you to campus. I rarely go to basic lecture but am on campus pretty much every day for something or other that’s required. I will come for a couple of hours and then go study somewhere either on campus or out and about.

I think the percent is higher than 32%. The website says they offer 800ish interviews a year, but they actually only interview about 450. I get the 450 from the 9 interview days each year and 50 applicants at each day. So if you take 260 offers and 450 applicants you will be closer to 58% acceptance rate post interview.

Good point! I wasn’t even thinking about the difference between interview offers and actual interviews but that makes a lot of sense.
I’m sure the 260 offers also include people who are initially put on the waitlist and then offered admission later, just to make it a tad more complex.

So my portal says "Committee / 1/3/20". Does this mean that that's when the committee received my application for review?

Hello! So I put a deposit down for the UP apartments by campus several months ago and they have not contacted me since the confirmation. Can anyone speak on what the process is to secure a spot at the apartments as it gets closer to matriculation?
