2020-2021 Colorado

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
How many II's is Colorado still gonna send out? I was complete back in July but haven't been paying attention the threads because otherwise I'd go insane, so any luck of still getting an II here?

They said they would be sending out IIs until early March and accepting peeps until mid-March! Don't lose hope! 🙂

Asking for a friend but does anyone know how CU feels about re-applicants? One of my friends was WL last year and is trying again this cycle but hasn't heard anything.

In the exact same boat as your friend -- interviewed last year, WL, never got off the WL, re-applied this year, and radio silence so far. It's frustrating for sure. Trying to stay optimistic, as the cycle isn't done yet, but it's definitely a bummer.

Thanks for posting this! They finally updated it!!! I wonder if this includes 01/08 interviews or even possibly acceptances from that day that haven't yet been announced... yep, I'm overthinking it while nervously waiting for tomorrow 😅
omg same I am SO nervous for tomorrow (also 1/8 interview). Sending good vibes out and hoping I get my first sweet sweet A!

Me checking SDN every few minutes to see if anyone has gotten a call yet

This wait is killing me slowly...I just tried to eat lunch and was shaking so hard the food wouldn’t stay on my fork. If today isn’t the day idk if I’ll make it to 2/5
I woke up with my stomach in knots, so I totally feel this. I’m trying to stay distracted and treat it like a normal day, but it’s not really working 🙁 calm vibes we got this!!!!!

Do you all think 1/8 interviews will be notified early next week, or will they wait until 2/5? Gotta plan out my next anxiety day lol
For the data junkies like me out there, I compiled some info from this forum and here's what I found... there's definitely a trend of Monday and Friday decisions, so I'll let Mondays and Fridays be my anxiety days, lol

So basically, it could be Monday, it could be a week from today, it could be Monday 02.01, or 02.05 😩😂 Thanks for putting this together, girl! In it together right now.

Does anyone know the times that they usually call?

Does anyone know the time of day that accepted applicants are usually called? Like do they tend to make the calls in the morning or later in the afternoon?
Someone earlier mentioned that they started calls at around 11am MT but I’m not sure if that’s been consistent for every day they make calls

Are you guys sending thank you emails to your interviewers even though they said it won't affect our admission results?

Has anyone seen a detailed curriculum map or curriculum description? I have seen the rudimentary "map" of the TREK curriculum, but do not fully understand how subject material is structured during the Plains year as well as the breakdown of the 3rd and 4th years. Does anyone know if this detailed description is available?
I've been wondering about this, too... I found this video on YouTube (from 2019) that explains it in a little more detail. They make it sound pretty final in this video, but who knows if / how much of it has changed since then. Anyway, it's something! They start talking about the curriculum around minute 23 and around minute 26 there's a sample schedule for the first year.

Is Colorado true p/f?
From what I heard in the info session from the interviews yesterday, they're true P/F for pre-clinical years, then P/F/H (I think) for clinical years. There are internal rankings and it's decided like 75% from clinical years and 25% from pre-clinical years and you're placed into quartiles. And you also won't know your ranking until it's time to apply for residency. Anyone please correct me if I heard wrong!

Do all acceptance calls for a given interview group go out on one day? Or have they been giving acceptances spread out over a 4 week time span after the given interview?

excuse my neuroticism, my stomach is in knots LOL

I think they do it over the course of a day

Got a call from a denver number today, ended up being about volunteering. My legs were legit shaking. Nearly passed out, no joke.
OMG SAME! I got a call from an unknown number with a Denver area code and answered it... it was completely unrelated to the school. My heart was racing. This wait is cruel!!! 😂

This is correct! However, the ranking is only mentioned in your dean's letter IF you are among the top 25%. I don't know a single med student that cares about their pre-clinical years either. Just as long as it's a P!
