Hi! Do you remember how long it took FSU to send you an interview after submitting your secondary?
Last year I submitted my secondary on 7/25, received my complete email on 8/13, received my II on 9/14, had my interview on 10/4, and got my decision on 10/15. My interview date was not the first interview date for regular decision applicants. The timeline may be slightly delayed this year though

Nice!! Congrats! Did you email them recently?? Or did you just wait it out?
I just waited it out tbh. It was stressful because I didn’t hear anything the whole day but the wait was worth it. For anyone whose wondering my stats. 4.0 GPA and a 509 Mcat score with a 129/125/128/127.

Maybe it’s the paranoia kicking in but I’m kind of starting to doubt some haven’t gone out yet. How can they reasonably wait this long?

So, here's my assumption. FSU essentially only takes FL residents. Most FL applicants apply to most FL schools, and we have quite a few. So, if I were FSU, I would probably wait until all the other higher-stats FL schools started filling seats, so that I wouldn't have to waste interview time with someone who's going to choose UF or UMiami based on prestige or location or whatever. FL is big. To someone from South Florida, the panhandle is as far as NYC is from Detroit. A lot of our parents are also planning to retire here, while others are clawing to get out, so FSU applicants probably have a lot to consider concerning where they attend. Just an anecdotal speculation and based on no data whatsoever. But moral is, students who apply to FSU probably have a lot of factors governing where they attend and FSU benefits by waiting it out. That all being said, they're probably the most badass of all the FL schools. Again - anecdotal - all my fun friends are 'noles.

reapp here, was not extended an interview till march then put on waitlist...be patient, they will be reaching out soon, remember this cycle is a bit wacko as is so don't expect anything to be of the~norm~

I was in the same boat except my invite came in January, my interview was in March and then I only got rejected like 3 days before classes started

Hey guys. FSU does send regular interview invites later in the cycle. Don't lose hope or drive yourself crazy thinking about why you did not get one yet. Also, they tend to interview a lot of FSU students first. I submitted my app in June and was complete sometime in August. II in January, interviewed late Feb and was accepted late march off the waitlist. One advice, if you do not get anything from them by January, send an update, letter of interest, etc !! Let them know you are interested. Good luck!!

hey, anybody know anything about the bridge program? timeline wise? avg stats etc?
I was in an outreach program for FSU COM in undergrad and from a presentation from admissions it seemed like to get into bridge you would have above average ECs and heavily fit with the mission with either a subpar MCAT or GPA but not both (or maybe). Per class there’s only 6-7 spots for bridge students, and you don’t apply for bridge they pick you from the pool. I believe the MCAT is 497-502 for bridge. This is all information I got from a presentation so don’t heavily rely on this but I hope this helps!

tbh it's a little comforting to think that they haven't sent any regular II yet so I/we could be one of them when they do go out!! compared to other places that are booking interviews into march already
dude retweet... basically silent R from Tulane and Geisinger lol

Do you have any idea when the regular decision II's will go out? 🙂

II this morning for regular decision and they said as soon as Oct 26 — interviews on Mon afternoons and Fri mornings!

Congrats!! That’s awesome! Would you mind sharing your stats / LM score and when your app was complete? Hope your interview goes well!

I paid my 30$ on 7/22 but was there a separate completed email we should have received??
There is a separate complete email. Some people have not been getting their complete emails after they paid. I had to ask for mine from the admissions lady. I think its just a formality though, I'm pretty sure if you sent in your secondary and paid you are considered complete.
