This!!! I love everything that they stand for. You can definitely see how much they care about underserved populations. I hope they reach out with these interview invites soon!!! And if they don’t want me like I want them I’m gonna be super sad and heartbroken lol but I’d rather them just tell me now and not keep me waiting so I can stop getting my hopes up
 
I have an interview with Meharry tomorrow, does anyone know what I should be expecting? The invitation seemed very casual, and the format seems very different from other schools so I am not quite sure what to expect.

Congrats! When were you complete? I'm wondering if they are also still giving out secondaries. I know someone who never heard a response after the primary....
 
Since there was a couple of questions. I am ORM with a graduate degree in a hard science. Non trad of many years. My mcat was 511 and I submitted late December early January but because I contracted covid unfortunately and let the school know.
 
Did anyone else just get a "Thank You for Applying to Meharry Medical College" email? I've been complete with the secondary since around September.

I did! The email was actually a repeat of one I received in October, the next day I received another email around 1:00 AM which was a repeat of one I received in November
 
just n=1 I believe they are interviewing people ASAP and only offering small dates for interviews. I was offered only two days the week I got the email and it seems like some other people are in the same boat.
 
Anyone know anything about on or off campus housing in the area or know where I can find some information? I’ve googled the on campus housing but no pictures or anything.
 
Does anyone know how fast campus housing gets filled? I'm looking at Moreno, but I haven't interviewed yet. Should I wait until after I interview or after acceptance (if I get in) to apply? I'm scared that by the time I hear back, there won't be any spots left.

don't know too much about this but honestly im guessing they should have some sort of accommodations since they choose to accept people 2 days before classes start in the past, which is not enough time for anyone to get housing on their own

3 on campus living options and they are building a new one but I can't remember when it starts.

The waitlist for on-campus housing has about 200 people on it. I suggest calling to see about availability or being added to the list.

Morena gets fully booked before the next semester. Getting a spot at Towers is easier Don't wait to get on the wait-list especially because getting ahold of Ms G(housing coordinator) before class starts becomes though

I interviewed in December and haven’t heard anything. I emailed and didn’t get any correspondence. Emailing or calling won’t hurt but idk if they will get back to u.

I still haven’t received a secondary yet! Does that mean a R? My stats are higher than an average applicant that gets accepted to this school...maybe it is me not being “black” ...who knows! My stats are cgpa: 3.50, science gpa: 3.54 and MCAT: 505 (121 in Cars)! I am wondering if no secondary at this point means a straight R?

You should double check your spam or you can try sending an email. I didn’t receive my secondary until January and it was hidden in my spam box. If I wasn’t checking my spam everyday I would have missed it. Earlier in the thread someone also mentioned that they’re still sending out secondaries. Just keep an eye out for it!
