2021-2022 Meharry

Tht means it doesn't make sense if that be the case because they should abide by tht requirement
there are not really hard "requirements" like that all the time. More like recommendations. my BCPM GPA was below the 3.5-4.0 and ive been accepted at Meharry and other schools. So, needless to say, not everything is straightforward.

My friend gpa is 3.5 in that range and still yet to get ll

My application was completed in August. I had my MMI in December and my 1 on 1 on January 12th. I sent an update letter in February and still no word on my status. Is anybody else who interviewed in early January waiting?

Exactly! Which means that GPA range is NOT a "sure acceptance" as you incorrectly stated. Listen, this thread has been nothing short of good vibes and individuals being encouraging to each other during a challenging period of our lives and we're gonna keep it that way. This pre-med thing really gets to a lot of people like you's brain and yall love to play high and mighty and all-knowing. Congratulate those who have gotten A's and II and wish well and words of encouragement on those still waiting to get As and II and KEEP IT MOVING. Your comment was negative, distasteful, discouraging, and not wanted under this thread you intentionally dimmed someone's good news UNPROVOKED. Meharry takes a holistic view. This behaviour should NOT be one of a future physician, who are you to question someone's hard work and achievements? The sad part is, there are many of you hidden in the healthcare setting.

To everyone else, you are more than numbers. Good physicians are not based in academics entirely, let's keep the positive comments flowing and I wish you all well on your application cycle and sending extra love if you're still waiting to hear back <3 :)

This was well said. I do not know if you have an A yet anywhere but with a mindset like this, I know anyone will be happy to have you as a future colleague.

Honestly it's all over the place. I'm hearing some students hear back within a few weeks and others 6-8 weeks. I've been waiting more than 2 months now, so just enjoy the ride lol. I try not to think about it

Hi everyone!! I posted a few weeks ago about getting an interview at Meharry with an average GPA, lower MCAT, and was kinda trolled by that one person lol. I just wanted to come back to say thank you so much to everyone who said such kind things and thank you for educating that indivual on the holistic review process that more medical schools are trying to do. I also just found out that I've been ACCEPTED at MEHARRY! First Acceptance! Still waiting to hear back from 2 other schools I interviewed at. I say all this to say, you are more than a transcript! We all have a story that is worth being told and a reason why we want to go into this field. Tell your story and advocate for yourself! I hope to see all you wonderful people in class in the Fall! :)💕

Has Meharry come up on yall AMCAS choose your medical school tool? Or do we have to turn in these forms first?

When did y’all get the email about a deposit? I was accepted yesterday but didn’t see that.
It was in the first email they sent that brought you to the "apply web" page. Once you go to apply web, click complete your decision form, once you click accept, it'll take you to the payment page for the deposit.

Does anyone know if they're still giving out interviews? I was looking at the SDN from last cycle and they started sending out rejection letters beginning of March so I was just wondering if it's still possible to get an II( also, I don't mean to sound negative lolll I just haven't heard from them in a long time).

Hey I think they're trying out a new format of multiple interviews (aka a MMI one week and a traditional interview another week) this year for some applicants so interviews are still being handed out every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from what the trend is on the thread. Seems that they screened harder this year for secondaries since they went out later than last years cycle. Also Pre-II Rs were given out on January 22, 2021 and March 11, 2021 for last cycle for a more concise time frame on when to potentially expect to hear anything from the admissions team.

Hey congrats on the A! Just was wondering if you know if the committee gave you any info on update letters pertaining to Fall/Spring gap year experiences?
Hey! Thank you! Not specifically. I wasn't really concerned about updating them on expereinces just really the stats. My advice would be to just send it. The worst they can do is say that they won't be able to take it or not respond.

Does Meharry take update/LOI letters? If so who do I send it to?
It can't hurt to try. I sent a letter of interest to both the dean of admissions and my interviewer last year. Neither responded, but I was accepted a week later so I'm assuming they saw it.

is it safe to assume they probably aren’t sending out any more interview invites now?
