2020-2021 Michigan State

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I was just wondering if MSUCOM was pass fail or a graded system. Also does anyone know how early you need to get an apartment before they fill up?
I believe this forum is mainly for MSU CHM, the attached link is the MSU COM forum and they should be able to help you out more.

have any accepted applicants been asked to state their preference on GR vs EL campus yet?

does anyone know how historic wait list movement has been at Michigan state?
I'm also on the waitlist. From what I have read on previous threads for MSU, the waitlist movement historically is not good, especially for OOS. We just gotta do our best to send a good update letter/LOI and hope for the best I guess, but I am already studying for the MCAT again as chances of getting off seem slim.

Hoping it's different with all this rumored expected waitlist movement I keep seeing on SDN and Reddit, but I'm not convinced we're gonna see a difference. I remember thinking this cycle would be easier with weaker applicants and instead we saw an 18% increase lol.

Last year I was on the waitlist and I unfortunately never got off. I reapplied this year and interviewed on 1/13/21 and got my acceptance call on 2/9/21.
One of the things I think really helped me was filling out the self assessment form at MSU. After filling out the form I had the opportunity to talk to one of the admissions counselors and I think that talk really helped me out this year. Good luck to everyone, wishing you all the best!

Also I am OOS, URM

People interviewed on 01/20, is there a chance to hear tonight?

This may or may not put some of you at ease. But I was accepted on a non decision day/week. While some ppl have at this point I’m unsure if those dates are 100% accurate. Seems to depend on committee schedule. So you may here prior to 3/3!

What tips did they give you for this year? Or was it more so just building rapport? Congrats btw🙂

Are you instate or out of state?

Does anyone know if we get an actual acceptance letter in the mail?

Have an interview coming up on Thursday, I’m an IS student. Anyone have any tips? This is my first MMI-styled interview ever.

Feel free to DM me.

For those that have completed there background check, was it automatically sent to the school or you had to make a request on the application service to send it?

Can we send an intent/interest letter post interview? Or, that counts as an update which they don’t take unless we are on the waitlist????
