Does everyone get an interview waitlist email? Or is it only for select people? I'm wondering if they handpick for the waitlist or not.

Bruh I had no chance (OOS ORM Low stats, of a different religion ) of being interviewed at this school but just received an II!!! So stoked!! I remember really liking the secondary process. Any tips for the MMI and live writing? I have no experience with that—I’m so scared 😱 ty

I got this email too. I called earlier today and they said it's an interview waitlist. At this time, they can't offer you an interview because there aren't enough interview spots but when it opens up, they'll probably start pulling people from the interview waitlist
Oh! Okay!
Are they handing out rejections right now? So this isn’t a rejection or a soft reject?

Just curious since the wording was weird.

I'm not sure if rejections have been sent out yet but the woman who I spoke with reassured me that I was still being considered so I don't think this email is a rejection at all. We just have to wait unfortunately ):

I have seen on this thread before that people have received rejections before the interview stage. I think it was in the summer and another time this fall as well. So I would think that this interview wait list is not a soft reject. More like they are waiting to see who all paid deposits yesterday to reserve seats. There will also likely be people who match to another Texas school in February and choose to go there, so more spots might open up after then.

That is interesting. I wonder how many folks applied for the school overall? Must be well past the 1000s.

+1

I also interviewed a week and a half ago!! Any idea on when we will hear back?? driving me nuts!
Well, they said they were hoping to have a decision for us by the holiday break, and their holiday break starts after the end of the week, so I'm thinking we should hear something by Friday, but they also stressed that while they would try to make the decisions quickly, these were big decisions so they may be unable.

true! fingers crossed for us 🙂

Same here interviewing last monday, it seems like the quickest turn around for someone to hear back was 2 weeks though so I guess we'll just have to see

HI, UIWSOM just received my app a couple days ago. How long does it usually take to receive a secondary?

Hi all! This will be my first interview experience that includes submitting a writing sample in real-time. Anyone mind sharing what to expect? Thank you in advance!
It's truly not a big deal. You'll be addressing a question you've likely addressed in other interviews or secondaries, writing on a Google form. Just like the other stations, you'll be given 2 minutes to formulate an answer, then they'll send you a link when the time starts and you'll just click on it and write until they tell you to stop. They were supposed to tell me at the 1 minute mark, but the woman missed it so I had to submit immediately. Still wasn't a big deal.

Does anybody have some idea how the students of this school did on COMLEX? I’m curious about pass rates.

cruise to the post for a report from a current student #46

I have seen this "pass percentage" quoted only, and have not seen the scores or score median reported anywhere.

That is interesting.

I have heard though that self-study is recommended for COMLEX anyways...

Hey everyone! I'm late to joining this forum but I received an II on 11/30 🙂 I'll be interviewing on 1/11. For anyone interested, here's my timeline with UIWSOM so far (OOS).

  • 8/26/20 Received Supplemental Application
  • 9/10/20 Submitted Supplemental Application
  • 9/25/20 Application Marked Complete
  • 11/30/20 Invitation to Interview

Looking forward to my interview! I've only had 1 other interview so far but this will be my first MMI if anyone has some helpful tips🙂

Does anybody have thoughts on post-interview acceptance rate? Much appreciated!

11% lower than the average, so I’d say no it’s not good.

Yeah. It is a newer school after all, so this is kind of expected.

To be fair though, that just means that you probably have to use more self-study and personal initiative to ace COMLEX than rely fully on the institution itself.

That's the same one I saw, with 83.22% first-time pass rate.

Also, please correct your typo,so it will read "public website":laugh::laugh::whistle:
LOL I wouldn't have even noticed if you didn't point it out. I kind of like the typo tbh 😂

12/4 here too!!!! Anxiously checking email lol... if we don’t hear back today, does that mean Jan is the earliest we would hear back bc they’re off for winter break?
I would guess that's true, but people seem to sometimes get interviews and acceptances at odd times, so maybe not.
