2021-2022 Drexel

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
self-aware, neurotic post but this is driving me a little nuts. I'm sitting at over 100 days post interview with zero communication (as I see others are also). I have seen previous deferrals in this thread but haven't seen one for a while. As they told us 6-8 weeks and it's been double that for quite some time now, I am assuming I'm deferred/rejected but have been waiting in anxiety for weeks to get that email.

As the admissions committee seems active in handing out pre-ii rejections and recent acceptances, anyone have any idea what's going on with our forgotten applications? I would happily take a post interview R email right now to end the waiting.
My guess is that they aren’t giving deferrals because everyone that is deferred is going to be transferred to the waitlist soon. So if you were going to be deferred, they are just going to go right to waitlist. OR you might have just not heard yet and you will get an acceptance!

I'm confused about timing for decisions because in my interview they told me 4-5 weeks but in other interviews it sounds like they are saying 8-10 weeks. I don't know what is going on over there but they sure have communication issues...

pre-II hold just now...

Has anyone received the scholarship application form? Or know where I can find it?
Communicated with the admissions office earlier - you only need to submit your FAFSA for this upcoming year. No need for accepted students to fill out a scholarship application form. Make sure that Drexel got your FAFSA information after you made your account on one.drexel.edu. If anyone else has different info lmk

Yeah I second this, someone else I know also heard 4-5 wks but I heard 6-8 weeks (his/her interview was a day after mine). For me this week would be hitting 4 weeks.....

I honestly feel like someone should call and ask at this point.
I called yesterday and they only let me leave a message for some reason, haven't heard back yet...ngl I've lost almost all hope at this point (interviewed 13 weeks ago, which feels ridiculous to say)

Wish you the best of luck friend!

Deferred means a decision on your application was postponed. Waitlist means that you have received your decisions and that you will be provided an A if someone drops.
A wait-list means that they've made a decision (to put you on the wait-list), deferral means they haven't come to a decision yet
Thank you friends...so would it be "better" to be waitlisted or deferred?

I meant that they generally admit ~60 applicants off the ~300 applicant waitlist, and separately, that the waitlist is ranked. Sorry, I had phrased that badly...
I see, thanks for the clarification

What does a pre-II hold from Drexel mean? Especially since they interview through April...

Wow Interviewed on 12/13 and still not heard a single thing 🙁 .... Whereas other schools hear back within a 11 days...

11 days? I've never gotten a decision that fast. All of mine always took at least 8 weeks

Are there any current DUCOM students who can comment on their experience and their outlook on rotations post Hahnemann closing? Seems like Drexel has a negative bias on SDN so would love to hear from the students!

Does anyone know all the interview days in December and January, I am trying to estimate how many more interview batches are left before my decision?
I know they haven't released decisions for 12/15....
What other interview days are there between 12/15 and end of January?
I interviewed 12/15 and got the A last week!

Were there any interview dates between 12/16 and 1/06? If not, then January interviewees may hear back soon, right?

Been on pre-II hold since early ish November. I submitted an update letter shortly after that and still have heard nothing. Would it be beneficial to send another one?

At this point probably not. It’s ridiculous how many people some of these schools put on hold knowing very well they aren’t going to give a majority of them an interview.
