Has anyone gotten a CC today? I'm refreshing my portal and nothing yet, but it seems like they're working after hours today. Fingers still crossed - this would be the ultimate Christmas present!

CC X4 just now. Not an R, not a problem to quote from last year! See y'all again on the thread in January!

Big CONGRATS to all that got the call today, and best of luck to those that are still waiting 🙂
May I ask if their MMI has any acting-based stations? Like you have to interact with the evaluator like with a standardized patient?... I'm stressing over my interview next month cuz I'm very terrible at acting .............

People cannot disclose the details of the MMI stations, however I would argue that any standardized patient experience shouldn’t be viewed as “acting.” Admittedly, SP encounters took a bit of time to get used to as a MS1, but you should be going in with the mindset that this person isn’t an actor. They’re an individual who is here to tell you their story. It’s your job to listen. As a pre-med, or even a brand new MS1, you’re not expected to know a diagnosis or even what medical questions to ask. It’s your job to make that individual feel heard and valued. If there is a station with a SP here or at any of your interviews (I genuinely don’t know if there is one here or not), go in and treat them how you would treat anyone else coming to you with a problem. Be a kind and receptive human. It shouldn’t feel like acting if you’re making an effort to hear/understand the person’s story.

My apologies, I meant to say role-playing haha. I completely agree with your point that it shouldn't be viewed as "acting", and I never intended to do so. I just find that, at least for me, it takes quite a bit of effort and getting used to, to feel comfortable and confident in this particular format. I really appreciate your advice though, I will keep them in mind as I continue to practice 🙂 Thanks again!

Pre II R today, a little surprised by this one - interviewed last cycle and ended up on the alternate list right up to the start of the program. Good luck to everyone else!

I wonder if they plan on giving out more invites in January. I think their interview season ends in February and when I received my invite, there were only dates left in February. They probably had an overwhelming amount of applications this year since they’re a bit more known now.

Any interviews?
"Our office will be closed for Winter Break December 22-January 4. We will respond to all messages once we return to the office on January 5, 2022"
This being said, I do NOT know when their next admissions committee meeting will be or when their next Friday of notifications will be.
Stay tuned!

Will they be giving decisions next Friday or the 21st, I wish they'd give an update, though I don't know if it'll make a difference, I'll be checking both Fridays obsessively
