To those with IIs: Were you guys able to choose a date for the underrepresented student alliance panels? I don't see any available dates in the survey

is that the Tuesday student thing?
No! They sent a separate email about asking me to fill in a survey to see whether I belong to any underrepresented groups (race, low SES, LGBTQ, or woman in medicine).

oh good to know! i'll look out for it. my interview is on monday

Same… is no news bad news, or what does this mean?

interview in an 1hr 30. Does anyone who has already completed their interview want to give me some pointers please? Like is it all scenario questions, actors, or personal questions? thank you!

for the secondary prompt "In the "Work and Activities" section on your AMCAS application, you provided the following list of experiences. Please select the experience that you feel has been the most meaningful in influencing your desire to pursue a career in medicine, explain why, and also describe what aspect of that experience best equips you to make an impact in the medical profession." is it okay to just basically shorten the most meaningful activities on works/activities section?

Hey current student here - we're P/F now (>65 is a pass). We also have Honors which is the top 15% of the class for a theme. Does for sure ease the stress but I think regardless of where you go, medical school exams are always going to be tough and require a lot of studying.

If anyone else has any additional questions I can try to answer them, but we have exams this week so my apologies in advance if I can't get a prompt response over.

Most importantly, best of luck to everyone - no matter what you guys do or where you end up going you have to be very driven and hard-working to even get to the point you guys are at. I know it feels tough in the moment, I was stressing out and panicking about this stuff less than a year ago too. But what I didn't do, and what you guys should do, is to take some time every now and then to reflect on the great things you've achieved and will continue to achieve. Because it's easy to start doubting yourself during this process - but don't let those negative feelings get to you!
I had a whole day of self-doubt and reading this helped

I gave a different angle on the most meaningful activity, something I did not fully address in the primary

Sorry for that, I wish this school would send reminders that you havent, instead they dont.

Do they send complete emails after you finalize? How would I know when my complete date is?

Did anyone find out if we should get confirmation emails when complete? I'm assuming no

Do they go through apps by day they were complete? I was finalized on September 3rd and have not got any status change.

Now Im seeing applicants finalized after me are getting IIs ?

Anyone know?

Did you finalize your app in the portal by clicking the finalize button?

Albany so far has had the best MMI interviewers! I really enjoyed the session, it showed that all faculty is genuine about helping their students and fostering a welcoming environment. My tip for future interviewers: definitely don't get stressed about the questions, they are way more straightforward than the questions you will find online. It looks like AMC really just wants you to reflect and show your ability to empathize and come up with practical solutions. Good luck everyone 🙂

II!!! Complete 9/12. Dates available for the first week of October for anyone wondering
Congrats!! What were your stats and EC's like (if you don't mind me asking)? I was complete on the same day and my LM, WARS, and CASPer are similar to yours.

Are you either an URM, disadvantaged, non-traditional, or first-generation student? My complete date is similar to yours and I happen to meet some of the categories that I've just listed. I'm wondering if Albany has set certain filters for applications, that might prioritize my application. If so, I might also need to start prepping for a quick turnaround lol

Im 3/4 of those things and haven’t heard anything since August. So idk about those filters.
