Unless it's changed this year, I was WL last year with no background check.
"You have received this email because you have been waitlisted or conditionally accepted by one or more of the medical schools participating in the AAMC-facilitated program for performing criminal background checks on conditionally accepted applicants and waiting list applicants."

I do hope it is an A in your case 🙂 Good Luck!

That's new to me, 4 WL, and I've never seen it. Interesting.

have the post-II answer timelines been pretty close to what they mentioned during the interview day? 7,8,9 weeks?

Is any accepted student able to find the checklist for the onboarding document status? (Certiphi + PATCH + everything else)? Because I can’t find it anywhere on the AMP portal 🙁

I have an interview tomorrow at 8:30 and have no zoom information/links in my interview tab on the applicant portal. Is this normal? lol

Did anyone else also receive a background check consent before hearing back if they have been waitlisted or accepted this morning?
I got an email requesting that I complete a background check and have been accepted to Drexel! I can only assume it was from them and not from the school I'm waitlisted at. Hope it means good news for you!

Is a deferral at this school basically an R? I heard they were deferring more applicants than normal this year but didn't know what to think lol (interviewed 10/5 and deferred 11/18)

This is from AAMC, no? It's sent to people who were waitlisted or accepted to a USMD that you apply to via AMCAS, if not mistaken.

I don’t think so from last year thread people were moving from the defer list to A and those who didn’t here back were moved to a waitlist. I’m guessing some people from the defer list might be hearing back soon.

Has anyone looked at previous years and know when they stop ending iis typically? I've been complete late July and silence...thinking its a silent r? love this school but understand the many great applicants!

I was put on hold on 12/15 and submitted 2 updates since then, each of them with a new publication from my lab for which I am a co-author. Do you think that authoring 2 publications in peer-reviewed journals would be sufficient for them to consider giving me an interview?

they’re not really a research school but two pubs is still a huge accomplishment so it might! there’s no way of knowing though.

Anyone know if Drexel does second looks or if there is an accepted FB or group chat?
if i remember correctly, i think last year the second look was in april and the admissions office creates an accepted FB group sometime in february i believe?

I completed my FAFSA recently and got an email from Drexel with instructions for what I need to do to finalize my financial aid package. The email says to complete the requirements within two weeks, but the process to do so involves setting up a bunch of Drexel accounts that seem very official (school email, etc.) despite the fact that I haven't committed. Anyone know if I should do this now or hold off?
