2022-2023 Drexel

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did they make an official DUCOM facebook page for accepted students yet? I saw a group called "DUCOM Class of 2027 - Accepted Students" but it only has three people in it which look like the admins. I think this one is diff than the MCAT bros one

same with the waitlists 😭 it’ll be a gut punch to get hit with a WL here because i really love this school! but we move! loving the solidarity here.

Does anyone know if they offer in-person tours or if they are having a second look event for admitted students?

I interviewed on 11/7 and got deferred on 12/2, should I be viewing my deferred status as a soft rejection at this pt, or is there a chance I can still get accepted?

Not a soft rejection, it simply means they want more time to make a decision. Certainly a chance you will be accepted. In the same boat with the exact same dates lol.

Much appreciated, at this point I'm seriously in nervous overdrive so I'm trying to just get any clarity I can rn (negative or positive)

No problem. Just focus on what you can control at this point. I know the process is tough but I believe in you. Just trust time and focus on improving yourself, relaxing, and making sure you deal with adversity in a positive manner. Take care!!!

Any chance for today since there were no SDN-posted decisions on Friday? Or are they definitely sticking to Fridays?

I completed my FAFSA recently and got an email from Drexel with instructions for what I need to do to finalize my financial aid package. The email says to complete the requirements within two weeks, but the process to do so involves setting up a bunch of Drexel accounts that seem very official (school email, etc.) despite the fact that I haven't committed. Anyone know if I should do this now or hold off?
No you need to follow their instructions ASAP if there’s any possibility you might attend so you don’t lose your financial aid. They have deadlines (2 weeks or a month or something?) from when you receive your financial aid package that it needs to be done by. It’s super annoying I had to call IT because I was having such issues with getting my accounts set up.

Thanks, doing it now. Any idea if what we're accepting now is all that there is for aid? Do they have scholarships and other options that become available later?

I'm not sure. I think scholarships are separate from this! I haven't looked super deep into it yet, but I think this is solely for direct unsubsidized loans/grants so far.

I was thinking about calling the financial aid office and trying to make an appointment with someone bc I didn't take out loans for undergrad so I have no idea how any of this works. It's so overwhelming despite all my efforts to learn about it😭

Same boat and these direct loans ain't it so far lol! Let us know if you do reach out and find any good info.

Wish there was some counter of how many spots are left in the class, so I could know how much hope I should be holding out (deferred atm)
