Anyone tryna take one for the team and call admissions to ask if Nov interviewees will hear back before the break?
I would not do that. They may take that into consideration as a bad sign. They want their candidates to be patient i am sure. I would not risk it and instead be patient. On the bright side....you would not know if you were to get rejected before the holidays so it won't ruin it.

The jig is up Mr. Lyman Mower. I know its you.

Also, for anybody who is a Senior, good luck on finals!
Try to focus on those instead of stressing about the med school. Trust me, the time will pass quicker.

Us November interview folks rn

I think they’re gonna send out some decisions today instead of Friday so that they can send out the official emails on Friday. Otherwise they’d have to wait until the Monday they’re back in office to send the email. A part of me is also hopeful that because they didn’t send out any news last Friday or Monday, they’ll have more decisions going out today than usual.

Did you call admissions or are you just speculating?

There was 4 interview days in November with ~30 candidates per day. MSUCOM takes 300+ first year students so interviewing that many people is normal for that many seats
Gotcha! And how do you know it’s 30 candidates per day?

There were 6 candidates in my interview time slot and there was 5 separate time slots they conducted interviews that day. These numbers are a rough estimate but based on other interview days, having ~30 candidates per day is not abnormal.

Does anybody know how many total candidates are offered acceptances every year? I know class size is 300 or so, but they were mentioning they accept more than that every year since people decline and such.

The excel sheet of the 17-18 cycle shared by @Kyle Hill shows 611 interviews.

It is usually about 1.5x the class size.

yes. So with 611 interviews and around 1.5x their class size, which is 450 students, that is that they take 75% of their interviewees. And remember, you have to count interviews conducted after February and almost all of them get WL or an R AFTER and interview. So your chances are probably slightly over 80% if we interviewed this early.

Don't you have an endocrine exam soon? Need you to focus so I have an excuse to focus lol.

When I said "tomorrow", I meant "tomorrow" in Colorado time. I think I said I have an exam late on Tuesday night.

Are they going to keep calling throughout the day or do they do all the calls in an hour and call it a day?

They've usually been calling on both Thursdays and Fridays, with Fridays being early morning/afternoon

Last set of acceptances I saw a couple of posts Thursday but I got mine Friday early afternoon and they said the emails would be sent out Monday.

Congrats to those who have been accepted! To those still waiting, at what point did you submit your casper score? After II? After the interview?

They don’t review your app post interview until you submit a Casper to them. But you can still register for interview without it.

Yeah i know but im tryna know if my app will be reviewed quicker than average since i submitted my casper as soon as i received the II.
I submitted my Casper as soon as I had the II and I interviewed 11/9 and have not heard anything yet. When did you interview?

For accepted students, did you pay a deposit yet? I was accepted in the week of 11/28. It said in the email I had until mid-Jan to accept initially, but I didn't see anything about a deposit. Do we take care of this later in the application cycle? Am I missing something in my emails or portal?

I took casper a week after my interview, so they reived my score 3-4 weeks after my interview, and I still heard back the same days as others who interviewed the week I did.

The option to pay the deposit doesn't show up until you fill out all the other info completely.

I don’think the timing of Casper has an impact as long as is submitted around the interview time
