Does anyone know when the school might get back if you interviewed today? I’m assuming it probably wouldn’t be by the Dec 14th deadline though that’d be great 😂

Are guys wearing full suits for the pre-interview event? Not sure what the vibes are

Based on what I have seen so far, you can expect to hear from them the second Friday in the following month.

MCAT 51* (mid-teens), GPA 3.8GPA 3.87, OOS, ORM. No ties to the state

2022 incoming class: 295 students for the Long Island campus and 115 for the ARK campus. (I heard this from the presentation)
Average MCAT: 506 (combined for Long Island and Arkansas). MCAT score must be higher than this for the Long Island campus.
Personally, For the Long Island campus, I have seen about 270 interview spots just for September. So 270 for October, 240 for November, 270 for Jan, 270 for Feb, and 270 for March. So they must be interviewing about 1500 applicants for 295 spots. So initial Post-II must be around 25%. As admitted students decline, this rate goes up.

MD schools over accept by 2x-3x to matriculate the planned number of students. I’m sure NYITCOM has to do something similar, meaning post II acceptance must be higher than 25% 😳

Again, the acceptance rate would go up and the admitted students decline. I think 25% would be like initial acceptance

Hey guys! Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and to those still waiting/applying, I know this is very stressful, but hang in there! I posted this before, but I'm currently a first year student at NYITCOM Old Westbury. If anyone has any questions about the program, student life, etc. I would be happy to answer them! My dms are also open! Good luck to everyone this cycle! :xf:

complete radio silence from this school, completed in September, do I still have a chance and does anyone know if they have been sending R before interviewing?
I haven't seen anyone post pre- and post-II R's yet from this school (both Jonesboro and LI campus). From what I understand, they have only sent out A's and are likely to send out R's and WL's in January and beyond. Keep your head up! There's a chance you're in the next group of II's.

Does anyone who has been accepted mind sharing the stats?

A for the LI campus
512 MCAT, undergrad cGPA 3.54, sGPA ~ 3.2 (no upward trends), graduate GPA 3.92. 1500+ hours of paid clinical experience (Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant), 1.5 years of research. Not much in terms of volunteer work, shadowing or clubs though. Also no recc letter from a DO, which I was worried about. IS, ORM

When did you interview!

For those with As (congrats!), does anyone know if the acceptance reply form is binding? Since the deadline to accept is pretty early, I’m wondering whether there is a chance to consider other acceptances after submitting on the deadline. I appreciate the help!

I interviewed 9/28 and haven't heard anything back. Should I contact them? There is no portal to check the status right?

they can not force you to go there. as far as I know, most DO schools have large deposits due very early, but if you get accepted somewhere else later in the cycle you can go there instead, but you will not get your deposit back.

Went this week. Everyone wore regular/casual clothes on my tour. Nothing formal. I had a sweater, sneakers, and some jeans on.

It seems like its been so quiet for IIs lately... Anyone have any insight on when more may come out?

Correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like interviews come out right before or right after the monthly decisions? I feel like the next batch of interviews will come either before mid December or right after.

I have not received an II and they accepted the update I sent adding new activities/experiences. They might just not have updated their website.

Accepted to NYITCOM Long Island and trying to decide between here and a few other schools, are there any current students in this group who could answer some questions for me? Having a very difficult time making a decision and want to hear about the experience from NYITCOM students at the Long Island campus

So we fill out the form and pay the deposit, but we can still withdraw in the future? There is a good chance I go there bc my family and friends are so close but I want to have options

yes the deposit just secures your spot and you can withdraw your acceptance in the future. your applications to other schools will still be active.
