yall I submitted this secondary in JULY but I'm finally complete at all campuses after emailing PA like 60 times :'))) i feel so horrible though that I'm now complete so late in the process bc they took forever
60 times?? I will guess that you're exaggerating, but don't call a school that many times, y'all. They know your voice by now for sure

Radio silence from this school. 3.4/510 complete 8/8. Looks like they send most of their interviews out in October correct?

I've got relatively comparable stats to yours (higher GPA, lower MCAT). I was complete 8/14 and also have not heard anything since then.

Also those of you who have already received Acceptances, did you feel your interview went well?

I think my responses were good and I mentioned everything I wanted to but I was so nervous. Voice shaky and I struggled to get some words out smoothly.

My GF interviewed pretty well. She found a common ground with her interviewers and kind of ran off with it. They went off topic a lot but she was also nervous. The beginning was shaky for her tho.

For those accepted can you help me with this question? It says we have until Dec. 14 to pay our enrollment deposit, but they keep sending emails about "confirming your seat". I thought the seat was mine until that Dec. 14 date? Or do I have to pay and confirm as soon as possible? Thanks!

I don’t think we need to do anything, but if you think there is a chance you would go, you should email them to know exactly what to do.

Is there an accepted students Group Me?

I just created an accepted students GroupMe and I am happy to moderate it and answer any questions that accepted students may have!

This is an honest question does anyone know how safe the campus and surrounding area are ?? I watch the news and I see that there are many violent crimes that occur on a weekly basis there. If anyone that a current student can describe their experiences it would be much appreciated.

Bala Cynwyd (where PCOM is) is relatively safer when comparing to the rest of the city. I'd recommend steering clear of Center City or anywhere Northeast or more Southwest Philly. Staying in Bala Cynwyd and in a location around/near/with other medical/professional students should be okay! The crime up there is definitely still possible but not in the heat of the crime of Center City. Definitely would refrain from walking by yourself especially at odd hours, however, anywhere in Philly even on campus.

*I am from near that area. I have not actually lived in Bala Cynwyd myself so a current student or someone who has lived directly in the area may have a better indication of its safety.

I live exactly two miles from campus, and went to Saint Joe's for undergrad. I'm 5'10" 165lbs and feel comfortable running down City Ave (the county line) at 3am. The Wendy's and 7-Eleven are occasionally robbed, carjackings and home invasions also infrequently occur, but neither below 54th Street nor in Montgomery County.

Earlier this year, a student was shot during a carjacking. During two different home invasions, each student was tied up and robbed. Again, all of these incidents occurred much closer to Saint Joe's and in Philadelphia County.

Lower Merion and Philadelphia Police Departments have been collaborating to make the area safer, and it's been successful. We now have City Ave Bike Patrol, which is helpful. Honestly, it's really not that bad, and it's safer than Temple's area.

Check your portals! I didn't receive an email but logged into portal this morning and I had an update.

I was waitlisted so I'm a bit bummed but I am hoping to get off the waitlist and have an acceptance. Thankfully I was amongst the first couple rounds of interviews so I'm hoping that will play in my favor when they consider waitlisted applicants.

If anyone has any advice on what I can do on my part to boost my acceptance chance please do let me know.

Good luck to the rest of you!

Current students (such as me) can write letters for applicants so if you want to set up a call with me, I’d be happy to discuss your application and see if I can help out. I cannot promise it’ll get you off the waitlist but it’s something actionable you can do while waiting.

I am a current student, live a mile from campus, and have felt relatively safe. There are still crimes that happen and I think that’s pretty much going to be true for any large city. But if you mind your own business and be careful (like don’t walk alone at night, don’t go to certain parts of the city, etc.), you’ll be okay. The campus is not directly downtown so it feels safer than some other schools that are in the heart of the city.

Can I message you?
