Wow really hope the postcard isn’t indicative of whether or not we get an acceptance..haven’t got one yet a week after the group session 😬
Typically there is faculty on the call too to answer questions. For everyone wondering about the Q&A I wanted to share my experience with it: It was a 1 hour Q&A session, first with a few members of the admissions department and we had to go around the zoom room and introduce ourselves and share a fun fact. Then it was a brief virtual tour led by current students and then about a 25 minute Q & A session with those medical students.
We (the interviewees) were not really asked any questions except maybe a quick friendly follow up to our fun fact or introduction, the rest was just a Q & A of interviewees asking the academic/admissions personnel and then the med students questions. 1 hour total.
It takes some time to show up on the portal once you’ve been accepted. If you got the email and text, don’t worry about it too much. Check in a week or so, you’ll want to stay up to date on when the first deposit is due.Anyone who’s been accepted, does it show on your dmu application portal?
Had my group interview on 10/26/23 and have not heard back yet. May be a longer wait as the cycle goes on.Anyone who interviewed (info sesh) on 10/26/23 have any of y’all heard back yet ?
Ya I’m guessing they’re just letting it ride without any decisions until later on. Interviewed back in August and haven’t heard back.Had my group interview on 10/6/23 and have not heard back yet. May be a longer wait as the cycle goes on.

Did u receive the postcard from them?Ya I’m guessing they’re just letting it ride without any decisions until later on. Interviewed back in August and haven’t heard back.
nope!Did u receive the postcard from them?
Ya that’s what was really weird haha. I’m sure they have something on their mind to not give decisions since they quoted 4-6 weeks on the email.Admissions has been quoting 3-4 weeks for a decision. If it’s been longer, reach out to them for an update.
I wouldn’t let it bother you with the other acceptances in hand. Also wouldn’t chalk it up to an R or WL off the bat. Just be patient. As difficult as I know that is. You’ll end up where you’re meant to be.Ya that’s what was really weird haha. I’m sure they have something on their mind to not give decisions since they quoted 4-6 weeks on the email.
I called around the 7 week mark and they said they will tell the adcoms I called for an update.
I emailed around the 9 week mark and was told it would probably be several more weeks for a decision.
That was about 4 weeks ago and I’m at radio silence.
I’m grateful to have multiple other acceptances but this was a school I would have strongly considered putting a deposit down on! I’m sure it’s either an R or a WL but I obviously don’t know for sure
You’re awesome thank you buddy ❤️I wouldn’t let it bother you with the other acceptances in hand. Also wouldn’t chalk it up to an R or WL off the bat. Just be patient. As difficult as I know that is. You’ll end up where you’re meant to be.

Hi yall I made a group me for accepted students

Here I am again
Did u receive a postcard from ambassador student before getting the acceptance?
So sorry to hear! Do you mind sharing stats? I’m getting a little worried myself. ☹️Pre II R 🙁
Then definitely the postcard has nothing to do with acceptanceI did not
Pretty low MCAT, great EC, research, coaching, shadowing, 3.5 GPA, and strong LOR. strong feeling it’s my MCAT holding me back 49XSo sorry to hear! Do you mind sharing stats? I’m getting a little worried myself. ☹️
Spoke with admissions. Looking at a longer wait time (early/mid December), especially with the holidays coming up.Had my group interview on 10/6/23 and have not heard back yet. May be a longer wait as the cycle goes on.
I spoke with admissions as well. They told me the same thing and then two days later I got the A.Spoke with admissions today. Looking at a longer wait time (early/mid December), especially with the holidays coming up.
Does anyone know if they accept update letters
Same but @anyone with group interview on 11/2? Interviewed on 10/22 i believehas anyone who interviewed on 10/8/23 heard anything back ?
Early/mid-December is crazy! I was in the 10/6 session as well. It's hard waiting to hear from these other schools with December 14th fast approaching. I have one DO A so far, but I can't afford to drop $1,000 to then choose another school. It's really stressing me out!Spoke with admissions. Congrats on the A though! You’re gonna be a doctor 🙂 I believe we have a little time still. If it’s a couple days before Dec 14, I think they allow us to have more time or an extended deadline. Not completely sure of the specific timeline for this school, but I had also asked about it too. Here’s the official rules from AACOMAS:Early/mid-December is crazy! I was in the 10/6 session as well. can anyone share what the interview is like?
Prepare as you would for any other interview. You noted some good things, brush up on the details of the school, etc.
Prepare to type
Ya Kira is something you do after you get an II! They have a good breakdown of what it entails what’s they invite you. PREview is optional!
It's asynchronous, but the questions are fairly standard for an interview so the interview thread should be of great help as you'll probably get a few of those. Essentially you get 10 questions, 45 seconds to think and 1 min 30s to answer. I didn't love the time-limited format but it being asynchronous did take off some stress. Then you just have to attend a Q&A session but it doesn't get graded and factored into your decision lol
