Realized I never received a confirmation email, primary was transmitted almost 2 months ago. Should I email?

OOS R (high stat URM, 4Q Casper)!! Good luck to everyone else still in the running!

(Also, putting this here for future pre-meds scouring these threads - IU does not waive the $70 graduate school application fee for those who qualify for the fee assistance program (FAP))

OOS pre-II R today, good luck to the rest of y’all!

I received interview email about one month ago. All of the things I needed to do were completed. My status still says pre-reqs not met & LoR not received. It's been a whole month. What should I do?

Don’t worry about it, they seem to be slow at getting back with an II date. Just got mine after almost a month after my II notification

has anyone done an interview for UMP yet? just got an II this morning and kind of freaking out! don't really know what to expect

I got mine today actually! But still haven’t not checked off for pre-req & LoR. Have yours been verified ?

Good luck! I just got my application for the UMP program. I was wondering what was your word/character limit for the essay prompts?

After you added Indiana to your AMCAS, did anyone get an email from Indiana to set up a portal account? I didn't and am not sure if that's normal

It’s essentially a program that has you doing 4 years in Gary exclusively rather than the traditional mixture of Indianapolis and other regional campuses. You learn mostly from community clinics and such rather than a hospital focus. If you got this email, they just found a hallmark or two that indicates that you may be interested in this form of medicine. Just keep in mind that if you apply to UMP, you won’t be able to revert to general admissions without withdrawing your whole application.

Oh ok thanks this is very helpful. So if I don’t want to do this program and just want the regular admission should I email them back or if I don’t reply they will still consider me for general admission automatically?

Thanks

Does anyone know anything about the MD/PhD program with Notre Dame? Or did anyone apply?

Hi! I have an interview tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone else who's interviewing / has already interviewed knows if attending the "Admissions Ambassadors Availability," "Financial Aid Overview," and/or "Student Panel" are expected/required? Would it be frowned upon if I only attend my interview itself?

Okay perfect, I'm in the exact same boat so that's super helpful to know! Really appreciate you taking the time to respond, best of luck to us both 🙂
interview was super chill, one slightly tricky situational/ethical question and it's open-file, my interviewers seemed to know my file pretty well and i had a good conversation with them when there was time after for me to ask questions. congrats on your invite, best of luck! maybe we'll inadvertently meet MS1 year : )

II received on 9/27, grad app fee marked received on 10/3 and dean's evaluation marked received today (10/6). However, my letters and prereqs are still not checked.......

no email from Indiana after primary verification on 08/08. good news is I have not gotten a R, lol.

They mark these once you’re out of the queue and scheduled for an interview. Mine took several weeks before it says those were complete but they check those off on their end so I wouldn’t worry about it!

seems like RD acceptances were getting mailed out around this time last year...when do u think us august interviewers will hear back this year? o.0

Does anyone know if IU also requires Duet to be completed alongside Casper? Scheduled for Casper this Thursday, wasn't planning on doing Duet but seems quick/easy if I need to

They only require Casper based on the status page. Hackensack now requires duet tho and it's pretty quick if you do decide to take it.

Quick question -I have an interview but I was wondering are the prerequisites really mandatory? The IU Med website does not mention Psychology (just social/behavioral science), but my pre-requisite says I am missing psychology hours? I did not take any Psychology course, but I was given an interview. Anyone have any experience with this?
