HOLY MOLY!! IS II!! Complete 9/2!!!

edit: 3 dates were available spanning late Jan to mid-Feb!
CONGRATSSS!!! Sending you good vibes!

Would you or someone who has the interview tab mind checking how many slots are open for those 3 dates? I know sometimes the portal will show a number of available spots beneath each day! Would help me see if there’s a chance or not 🥺🙏

I appreciate the support!!

Also, the dates on the calendar did not list the # of spots available. Maybe someone who has interviewed already can comment on how many applicants showed up to their interview day so we can try and approximate this info?? Would you happen to remember how many ppl were at your interview day @pablo213??

I want to say there were around 40-50 people at mine in late September but it's been a while tbh. There was definitely a decent number though. I remember it took a long time to get through the introductions lol.

Has anyone sent a pre-II letter of interest or update? Do they accept these?

I just got a new manuscript publication and an accepted poster presentation at an international conference. Since I interviewed late October there's nothing I can do right? It's a significant update but it's way past the two-week mark and I don't want to annoy them :/

That is unfortunate timing 🙁 I'd probably play it safe and hold onto those updates for now. They were pretty clear about deadlines and it may look like you're trying to gain an advantage over other applicants who followed the guidelines. Maybe you could mention it for a future Letter of Intent if anything (I don't know if they accept these -- maybe someone can chime in). But hopefully you won't need to resort to that if you get accepted immediately!

Y'all think they'll start sending KH video prompts this week?

when do you guys think the first batch of decisions will come out?

congrats to everyone receiving IIs today! does anyone know if getting an II now (scheduled for feb) means we have very slim chances since its pretty late in the cycle? or do we still have an okay shot if it goes well?

I was wondering the same!

I noticed last year that PSTP heard back a little later. Does everyone here who applied PSTP also still have the button

I thought PSTP election doesn't really impact outcome?
I saw that some people earlier in the thread were unsure if PSTP was a separate interview process or not. I also applied PSTP and saw no mention of it one way or another in my II email. So I just checked online and found this:

"[Applicants that indicated PSTP] who are accepted into the MD program through the AMCAS portal are automatically accepted into the PSTP. . . Applicants who apply through the traditional MD portal (e.g., who do not select the PSTP option in the application) and who are accepted for MD admission are also eligible to apply for the PSTP after matriculation. PSTP application following matriculation is not competitive, and we strongly encourage students to participate. Stanford PSTP’s guiding philosophy is simple – matriculate to Stanford and know that once you arrive, we will help you determine which of the many paths available will allow you to best reach your full potential as a physician-scientist."

So it looks like there's no separate process/rigorous eval for PSTP, if you're in you're in!

do we also found out about rejections next week or is that at the end?

just got invite, anyone know if this is a good indication for decisions?
congrats! I was wondering the same thing. I can only imagine it would be a positive sign, especially since you interviewed back in September. If you don't mind sharing, when did you submit the KHS application? Would be interesting to see if the invites are chronologically based.

Posted my Doordash voucher in my friend groupchat to flex. Just went to redeem it and it didn't work. There are snakes in the grass...

I didn’t get an II from Stanford but I feel for you. 1 hour after I ordered today, DoorDash canceled my order because it “got lost in the system” when I was at work… :/
