2023-2024 Stanford

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did you find that by looking through old posts, or has that been published somewhere?
Old posts. In my infinite neuroticism, I've looked at Stanford threads from 2018-2023. Not to say 500 people get IIs in January but there may be some hope. If you get the video prompt in January that's definitely a good sign.

missed the wave but given the low II from here on out, would honestly rather just take the L now😭

It's speculation. On the 2020 thread, there were plenty of II's sent out after the Pre-II waves. Keep in mind that this is just speculation and that SDN represents a subset of the total number of II's. It's representative but not all-encompassing. Last cycle there were some IIs in December to February, but I think we're in the pile of "possibly II depending on class composition." I wouldn't say it's impossible.

I'm gonna go play some counterstrike y'all this is too much suspense
I'm jealous. My work's firewall stops CS. I'd say they were too clever, but they also blocked api calls to pubmed so maybe not

I think around 500 people who applied to knights hennessy get invited to do a 2 minute video response. You can choose to talk about pretty much anything for those 2 minutes but it should be centered around teaching something. Theres around 7k applicants usually, so if you get invited to that then you're in a good spot. Granted MD applicants are only a small subset of that

I'm lucky I don't work a traditional job, just lots of research stuff from home. So if I want to play some games during the day to cope I can!
I'm a mostly remote research fellow, so I'm pretty much in the same boat. Just bad timing today!

How does one find out about an R? Do they email you? It's been complete silence for me.

I applied on the literal last day, and I'm still alive. Guessing they at least look at you before making a decision, so anybody who's super late has been spared
Same and I got rejected, which stung a bit Lmao. I submitted at like 11:50pm on the last day to submit it so dunno if that made a big difference. I had a solid MCAT but ugrad gpa was straight 🗑️
