Are the interviews in person? For those who got it, or do they have a virtual option?

OOS II earlier today. Only options available are all the way out to late October - are other people seeing the same? I'm fine w that but it just seems super far out.

Dope man. I have a similar app. When did you submit your secondary?

How would you describe the community of students? Is it supportive or is it super competitive/cut-throat?
Not OP, but I'm also a current student. IMO we have an extremely supportive and collaborative environment. Like every school, there are a few odd personalities but overall everyone is very helpful. People are uploading their anki decks and sharing every sort of study guide they make. 2nd year's help out 1st year's in a lot of ways as well.

Also kinda related. The staff do their best to help you pass and legitimately want you to graduate. There are remediations for most assessments. The only people who don't make it to the next year are dropouts or people who cheated.

I keep getting email invites to their open house yet no interview. Anyone else in the similar situation?

100% agree with this.

Does anybody know the type of curriculum they have? Or anything about research opportunities or community engagement opportunities in Kirksville?

I interviewed here Monday and we learned a lot about the curriculum.
They do a systems-based curriculum (i.e in every class you take, you'll be focusing on the same system in the body). Tests seem to be at the end of every system/block as well as boards-like finals at the end of every semester.
They seem to have decent research opportunities and they offer a research elective which allows you to research under different professors. In the interview folder they have an outline of different research offered by each department. They do have options for presentations and publications.
They do a LOT of community engagement through their extracurriculars, and they actually have a required number of outreach/volunteer hours in the community. They have a kitchen that delivers hot meals, free clinics for Amish, free healthcare education clinics, etc.

For anyone who has interviewed already, did you attend the reception the evening before your interview? What did you think of it?
