Guys I’m lowkey nervous I was complete around 09/02 and haven’t heard back… don’t they normally have a quicker turn around for II if received? Just praying it’s not an R☹️
Also is it true there is no WL just A or R I couldn’t find it on their website?

I’m not sure what the turnaround is for II. I think for me it was maybe a month? I imagine with the start of interviews, things may be a little slower with the admissions committee doing interviews, making decisions on those interviews, and still processing applications. As hard as it is, no news is good news! It hasn’t been that long since you were complete so I’m sure it’s coming soon!!

Also, yes. They have like a deferred acceptance list. So, you either get accepted, rejected, or you get a deferred acceptance to next year’s class.

i would imagine what shiny said is probably right. my II came like a week after i was complete, but i interviewed first day and it looks like i was sent the II on the first day as well. it’s probably much busier for them now that they’re making admissions decisions AND still interviewing, along with processing. 2 weeks isn’t terrible at all, i’m sure you’ll here back relatively soon! they didn’t mention anything about a waitlist, but since they’re rolling admissions i imagine they would A or R until they’re full, then add a waitlist. i never heard anything about a deferral list, so i can’t speak on that. best of luck!!!

For people who had an interview, or are familiar with Memphis: how safe is the area? My hotel was gated and my uber driver told me not to walk around at night. Not sure if current students live downtown or more toward the suburbs.

I talked about this with one of the faculty during the lunch. They told me to look into areas like Germantown, Cordova, and Collierville. They said these were family-friendly areas and a lot of the students lived there, especially Germantown.

i 2nd this, and if i attend i will absolutely be living in germantown. seems like a lovely place!

Does this school offer federal loans? I am currently dubious about applying to this school but I want to have an option just in case.

Quick question, I have an interview scheduled for November 13th, but i saw they have dates that have opened up earlier. Has anyone switched their interview date? And if so, do you just do it on your portal under the interview tab?
Yes I have switched mine a couple of times! I’m waiting for a date in October to open up, but as of now I have mine set for November 7th! You just hit “unregister” in the portal and pick a new date, it’s super simple!

Has anyone who interviewed the week of 9/16 heard anything back?

For those of you who have already interviewed, any advice/ tips?

Although they do MMI, the questions are really geared toward getting to know you. Since you interview with several different people, know your app well and be able to articulate quickly what you really want to highlight. I didn’t prepare at all and felt confident with my answers.

i agree with the post above. know your app, why you wanna go there, and relax. it's very conversational, and after you answer the "required" question you will have plenty of time to just talk with the interviewer. know MMI format, beyond that, don't overprepare.

Current students: how is it living in Memphis? It's my understanding that it is not the safest city. How has living there been for you?

i created a GroupMe for accepted students. PM with proof of acceptance to be added!

I have my interview this week and was wondering what the interview schedule/structure is. I know its MMI but how many stations/interviewers are there? How many questions are traditional and how many are situational? Also are there any stations with patient actors or is it just questions for each station? Lastly, what questions were you asked if you remember? Thanks in advance and congrats to everyone who got accepted here!

got an OOS II last week 🥳
Any current students that can comment on how it’s been so far? In terms of faculty, culture, etc? It seems to be set up pretty well for a new school and I’ve seen good things from people who interviewed, but I’m curious to know student experiences.

There are 8-10 stations, half traditional and half situational/ethical. Expect at least one station with a patient actor. The questions are straightforward and you can expect each station to be pretty conversational. Try not to over prepare!
