Well you’ve got some good prospects. While your theory certainly is possible, it’s also possible you’re examining this too closely. This process is incredibly stressful, so I understand where you’re coming from but maybe they haven’t reviewed your application, or have you in a hold pile, or are waiting to send a rejection. It’s not because of your stats, and tbh part of this process includes luck in who reads your app. Ultimately, this school may or may not reach out (disappointing response I know) but it’s the nature of admissions. My advice, do your best to take your mind off of the apps because in this scenario your anxiety may be getting the best of you.

Just an FYI for anyone still interviewing or with an upcoming interview offer, if you’re serious about going to UB and it’s your top school I highly recommend doing your interview in person. They say there’s no bearing on your application between the two modes, but it’s much easier to connect with staff, interviewers, and admin in person and makes you much more memorable and shows you’re committed.

Second this. I interviewed in person in November and got an A in December. One of the first things they said was that they REALLY appreciated us coming in person. I'm sure they are being honest that they don't weigh in person more than virtual, but in my experience, many subtleties about a person are lost over video calls, especially if you are more introverted——online, it could come across that you look less enthusiastic or engaged.

From the faculty member that interviewed me: letters of intent/thank you letters are polite, they read them, etc., but the committee's written evaluation is closed basically right after your interview concludes. For example, I finished my second interview at 2 and they made their decision by 3. Kinda have to just ride the wave at this point.

This math is for in-state, FWIW, but for those fretting post-interview:

Buffalo interviews about 22% of its IS applicants. From there, about 36% of those interviewees matriculate. If we assume a pretty 'typical' yield percentage of 40% you're looking at acceptance rates of somewhere around 90%. Adjust that accordingly if you imagine the yield percentage to be higher or lower

Caveats that estimating yield percentage isn't an exact science, and without hard numbers this is all back-of-the-envelope math, but it's probably safe to say that post-II acceptance rates at Buffalo seem uncommonly high for in-state applicants. OOS is a different ballgame, and YMMV

n = 1 but I sent one like 2 weeks before the decision date in December and I got accepted. Am IS.

If you have good updates/are saying that jacobs is your #1 school, I don't see why it would hurt to send one.

I think its mainly helpful to express continued interest through thank you notes after the interview by letting them know your interview reaffirmed your commitment to one day attending or reaffirmed buffalo as your top choice (if it is). I feel it may be safer to save the letter of intent in the case you get waitlisted since it'll hold far more weight when they're picking applicants from the pool.

Their website says end of march, but I see that some ppl who interviewed in January heard back already, so not sure if they’ll continue releasing decisions early
